The Misfits update and fun facts

So, yes it is true, The Misfits story is now completed.

I wish that I could have continue it further but unfortunately I could not manage them in. However, this is not the end of them, I have big plans for the future and I can't wait to make them.

In the meantime here are a few fun facts about the misfits and their development:

Dusty's father, Dust Devil, works as a weather pegasus and is one of the pegasi responsible for creating the storm that electrocuted Cyber and shipwrecked Fang.

The predator chief family, Xanthos, Podargos, Lampie, and Deinos, are all named after the mares of Diomedes (who Fang's father was named after) from Hercules' twelve trials.

Trident and Marine were originally going to have horns.

Fang before being a predator was originally going to be a psychopath that ate meat, this was changed due to confusion.

In case you haven't figured it out already, the explosion that trapped Dusty was in fact Rainbow's sonic rainboom.

Early in development, Mixy was going to be both carnivorous and a changeling hybrid.

Mixy's original name was Mimixy after some weird twisting of the word 'mimicry', with 'Mixy' being the name shortened, this was changed because I liked the name Mixy better.

Even in the afterlife, Whirlwind still hates Eclipse for killing him and Breezie.

Eclipse was originally an alicorn.

Dusty may have lightened up to Rainbow, but he will take any chance he gets to beat her.

Moonlight Shadow's name was inspired by the Mike Oldfield song of the same name.

The name 'The Misfits' was inspired by the song in Rudolph the red nose reindeer.

When Eclipse is affected by poison joke, he becomes cold and gains slight powers over ice instead of fire.

When Marine is affected by poison joke, she starts hallucinating.
