Should I make Bon-Bon a changeling? · 11:27am Sep 26th, 2014
As I'm busy writing The Stranger, I realise that there's a lot of things more I can do (for the story at least) if Bon-Bon were a changeling and not just a normal earth-pony. If you look at it in comparison to the show canon, a changeling would make sense (it's why she has a different voice each time).
My worry is that "Bon-Bon is a Changeling" might be overdone. I don't want to write something that's been done, and done better by others. Although this limits what I can do slightly, I'm determined to work around it one way or another.
So...what are your guys' thoughts on it? If Bon-Bon were suddenly a changeling, would that have any effect on your opinion of the story?

Not really... but it is overdone. In my fics, I avoid the situation by saying a few THINK she's a changeling, when actually she used to be a ventriloquist like Jeff Dunham
