    Again?

Well true believers and other nonsensical monsters, it has happened again. Okay yeah I've been less active in recent times but-my stories are still somehow getting love.

Love in this case is on specific soul who has made a YouTube reading of "A Mother's Love: The Directors Cut"!

    New Year, New Styles

Suffice it to say my life is becoming the mess, but all is not lost. I have good friends, a tiny portion of my family still likes me, and Everfree Northwest is going to be great this year.

    I Live! Sort of...

Um... yeah. To say the least I am still alive, my story ideas are still fumbling about in my skull, and I will be attending Everfree Northwest with my delightful niece, who is more like a brony than I think she understands. She draws ponies, makes up stories about ponies, and analyzes the show when we watch together... in so much as she asks why things are hapening and what different ponies mean

Ah done Goofed · 9:17pm Sep 17th, 2014

Yeah... I got really angry at one of my coworkers today... I won't go into details so let's just say She said some things I said some things... she tried to act like she had authority over me... I took exception to that... one thing led to another and I was sent home... I get to come back tomorrow so I'm not fired, I think the boss just wants me to have some time to cool my head... So I've been reading... I'll write a little as well... I now find myself in need of a distraction... I did pajamas last time so let's go with sleepy ponies today.

Whatcha dreamin about Twilight?

Oh you know... the usual...

Sorry I got a little over zealous... I had a bad day...

And now I feel Shippy

Celestia ain't gonna like it, but I still think its cute.

Oh no! Someone forgot to invite Luna back for snugglings and hugs...

SNUGGLES!

Hooray! Luna is appeased... Okay she can hug Neil...

Yeah... that one...

Sorry again... I just needed a heavy dose of cute... I feel better now... I'll get back to my stories... I'll see you all at the next chapter.

We all have those times in our lives were we just need a little cute to help us get through the day. Look forward to your next stories! :pinkiehappy:

Yep had those days. Thank Celestia that coworker is gone. I could probably write a novel on the issues and grief he's caused everyone but that would be giving him too much power.
Glad you didn't get fired...

Those ponies are so damn cute, I almost had a heat attack. Again... :raritydespair:

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad day at your job... :fluttershysad:

Anyway, as usual, you have succeeded in distracting me.

The Derpy one is probably my favorite. Of course she would dream about her Muffin. :derpytongue2:
Incidentally, have you read either this story or it's sequel?

2462577 Or in this case, a whole mess of cute.

2462618 Thanks, I'm glad I'm too valuable an employee to fire over one little burst of anger too. Wait a heat attack? No! Say it isn't so!

2462774I love all the pics, but yeah Derpy dreaming of her muffin has a special place in my heart. Also no I haven't read them but I've been meaning to, they look really neat. A really cool and unique way of looking at both Derpy and Blueblood. They are in my read later list and I'm gonna try to clear that pile of unread stories while I'm on vacation next week.

2462984 Don't laugh, Twi-Fi, could have been in moral danger.

2463013 Well, it's better than dying of fight. :pinkiegasp:

2462950

I'm gonna try to clear that pile of unread stories while I'm on vacation next week.

I wish you the best of luck in that endeavor. Hopefully your list is nowhere near as full as mine... :twilightsheepish:

2463022 Or being caught in a hit storm. Sorry I couldn't resist.

2463163 I am currently at 165. So it could be worse. I did just go through and clear out some of the canceled stories, because canceled makes me sad and there is no point in becoming invested in a story that won't be finished...

2463365 I wonder how Twi-fi will react when he goes back to read this log. :trollestia:

2463365

So it could be worse.

Yes. It could be something like, oh let's say, 583 and growing... :pinkiecrazy:

Perhaps I should clear out a few canceled stories, as well... I don't know why I didn't think of that, myself. :facehoof:

2463397 Oh! What if he banned me from the group for making fun of a typo. Out of all the lowest possible forms of humor, this is the lowest possible form.

2463441 Wow... I'm glad I haven't let myself get that far... yet. Isn't it funny how easy life can be if you just listen to a high functioning high functioning autistic person?

2463459 I doubt he would do that...
But still, now I feel bad, too. :twilightsheepish:
Maybe we should make it up to him.
Let's write a collab for him.

2463459
What makes my list even worse is the fact that some of those unread stories are somewhat lengthy pieces. For example, I haven't gotten around to reading the rather popular "Past Sins" yet.

I'm also trying to stay away from Fimfic's homepage while I attempt to make a dent in my reading.
Obviously, I'm failing in that particular goal... :twilightoops:

2463521 Oh yay! I've never done a collab before... how does one collaborate at writing?

2463528 Past Sins was good... though personally... a lot of it was over hyped for me. It's set out as this huge amazing thing that everyone needs to love, but I personally found that... well it felt... I don't want to say, 'cliche' but yeah... Don't get me wrong, it is a well written story. I enjoyed reading it... I just don't feel like it fully lives up to its hype. That said, it is a good read if you have the time, or look up one of the fanfic readers who read it on YouTube.

I might not love Past Sins, but I do love the homepage. Sure I love the little gems the Nonpareil group is finding but sometimes the popular stories are there for a reason.

2463548

but sometimes the popular stories are there for a reason.

Sometimes, yes. Not just for a reason, but for good reason. Other times, however... :pinkiesick:

2463621 Yeah, those ones are weird. Just from reading the misspelled and grammatically incorrect short descriptions I just wonder... "Could I be a popular writer if I just wrote fluffly, poorly written, squishy fics that play off some perceived emotional attachment based on cheap gimmicks and sugar coated pony words?"

Then I realize that YES! I have been doing this the wrongway all along... Now I will write a Flutterdash ship fic where nothing out of the ordinary happens and it just ends up being a poorly written description of sweet pony cuddling... I will get all the views!

2463548 Well...
I think we make a google doc and we make an outline, then someone writes it as the other edits?
I haven't really done a collab other than the one by kittyhasnosoul, but even then I just wrote snippets and added it to another story. I still have to make a collab with Twi-Fi as well. :twilightsheepish:

2463673 INteresting... I suppose that means I'll need to learn to use Google Docs... For the sake of this collaboration! I will go to sleep, because it is getting late and I still have work tomorrow where I try not to upset the queen of lackluster performance. But yeah, collaboration is a fun thing... I'll dig through my bag of tricks and see if I can rummage up any ideas for a collaboration.

2463671
Oh no... What have I done!? I beg of you, don't join the Dark Side! They lie about their cookies!

A well-written FlutterDash snugglefest where nothing happens, however... :trixieshiftright:

2463715 Yeah, I kind of thought about that too and I realized that if written well with a good story and plot devices, that idea could be really... good. And now it is on my vast pile of stories I am trying to write.

2463751

And now it is on my vast pile of stories I am trying to write.

...I'm not sure if I should apologize for that or smile with giddy anticipation. :derpyderp2:

2463780 Don't worry about it. I won't drive myself crazy.

2463814
Alright, then. Looks like "smile with giddy anticipation" wins this round. :pinkiehappy:

2463671 Thats why I can't stand F/F ships!

2463397
2462950

heat attack.

Well, I done goofed that one. Or did I get transformed into a mare at a very bad time? :unsuresweetie:

I will write a Flutterdash ship fic where nothing out of the ordinary happens and it just ends up being a poorly written description of sweet pony cuddling... I will get all the views!

Sadly this is true. My most popular fic, which I wrote in two hours with a high fever, is nothing but a cuddle fic. It's my most popular but certainly not my best.

2464907 I feel you. The ratings I got on "The Sacrifice" pale those I got on "The Lost Book of the Creator," which I like to think as one of my most thought-out works. :facehoof:

2464910 I like to think my most recent is my best thus far...
Not sure what makes a story viewed the way it is. My Little Dashie has like 10k upvotes... probably the most on this site but the story, while it's really sad, is far from the best I've ever read on this site.

2464923 Have you seen the Ferexes SFM video about the fanfic? It's pretty good animation.

2464933 I haven't. I'll have to check it out.

2464457 I agree, for a lot of them it is just a gimmick to get views. However some of my favorite stories are well done romances centered around a F/F ship. I think it all depends on how it is written. If I ever did write some stupid pointless ship fic with two characters that are a popular ship just for views then it would truly show me that I have sold my soul. So I will continue to write for a love of writing and not give too much of a damn when it comes to the number of views or likes I'm getting.

2464910
2464907 I'm actually kind of lucky, My most popular story is one that I was actually very proud of and I'm very happy with it. As a matter of fact I think it was the one that someone said it was sadder than My Little Dashie.

Though, personally, I didn't find it that sad... I suppose it's because I am of the opinion that ponies belong in Equestria and no matter how good a father he was, it was just a matter of time before Dashie needed to go home. SO I was expecting it, but it was heartwarming enough at the end that the sad part wasn't really that stinging.

2464910 I have read The Sacrifice and I thought it was pretty good. Now don't look at me like that because The Lost Book of the Creator looks very good! That said you made Celestia into the bad guy and people hate that crap.

2466289 To be honest, I was expecting some negative feedback on that aspect, though what I guess I was trying to compare here were the drastically different view counts for the two stories. I can see how adding that part can be off-putting, though. The thing is that if I add more information regarding whether Celestia is truly evil or not would mess up some parts in future chapters, i.e. parts in future chapters will illuminate readers that she is neither completely evil nor a complete saint. I just can't have all of that info in there yet. :twilightsheepish:
Still, I'm glad you read/gave a look at my stories. Feel free to comment what you wish on them, and if you have any suggestions, I'll be happy to take them into account and see what I can do.
Oh, and I might make a prequel to "The Sacrifice," since the setup was done very quickly to save words. It feels like I have to divulge into what happened before. This is probably one of my bad habits, and possibly why I take so long with writing a story: there's always something that happened before, and something that will happen later.
