I have no problems with one-shots. But the way Oneshotober is set up is perfectly crafted for dozens of users churning out piles of crap.

One-shots are fine. Taking part in challenges to inspire your writing is fine. Trying to come up with 31 unique stories at once, and posting all the attempts one at a time without enough time to edit/improve upon them is not.
