Hello everybody! Guess who just discovered a crucial element for stories that have multiple chapters, especially when they're published chapter by chapter online. That's right! Me! And I think I'm going to call this odd little thing... Planning ahead.
You see, I came across this bizarre facet whilst writing the recently published Journal Entry #9. Now, some of you might have noticed that in every entry there exists a little date in the first line of text. This is done to give the chapter a more "journal" feeling, and also to give the reader a timeline to see the progression of The Itch in the mind of our little purple protagonist. Now, keeping that in mind, do any of you recall the fifth entry, in which I intertwined the occurrences of my fanfictional tale with the events of the show episode Too Many Pinkie Pies (Season 3, Episode 3)? Well you see, I'm planning on doing some more chapters like that, where I give my little macabre side to an episode. And you see, I've already planned to use the episode Magic Duel (S. 3, Ep. 5) further on, and I thought that the ninth entry would be a perfect opportunity to get the one right before that, One Bad Apple (S. 3, Ep. 4), out of the way. I was planning on writing down how some of Twilight's friends would come over and try to invite her to the Summer Harvest Parade, and have her refuse, when I remembered the month that I had set my story in.

You know, January, not Summer, during which the Summer Harvest Parade occurs?
Sometimes, more that usual, I really don't like myself.
SO anyway, there you have it. This author has once again proven himself to be an idiot. But hey, at least I now have a reason to make good use of that Alternate Universe tag right? Yeah, heh heh. Dammit. So yeah, here's for planning ahead.
Well, aside from the occasionally (or perhaps usually) stupid author, I do hope you all are enjoying The Itch, and I hope you'll like what I have in store.
