Displaced - Chapter 14 Author's Notes & Comments · 1:40am Jun 12th, 2012
I'm not entirely sure how many of you actually read these, but still, it feels necessary to write these.
This was fun chapter, to be sure. Many of you probably started to read this chapter, and began thinking "What the fuck am I reading? Is this the right story?" Then it probably hit you that the scene was a dream and memory. I felt it time for more Scootaloo development, and as grim as the scene was I felt it justified. Not only did it establish further justification for the way she is, it allowed for development for a motivation for her character. Needless to say, Scoots won the spotlight this time around.
Many of you are probably aware of the reference in the very last scene of the chapter. I'd like to personally thank AcousticBrony and MandoPony for their awesome work on the song 'I'll Fly Higher'. It served as a big inspiration when I began writing this chapter, and I wanted to express my gratitude through a nod towards them.
Finally, some of you may recall my previous blog post, regarding an animated version of Displaced. I may have unintentionally given the impression that I was already making it or was actively hunting for staff. While I would certainly love to engage in such an endeavor, I cannot say that the undertaking is high on my to do list. The logistics are simply not feasible at this point.
Random gems of discussion from editing bouts:
Nightmare Nightstand - I will forever be haunted by Open Office word suggestions.
Cockney Scootaloo - I don't know how it came up, but I broke DarkxRedemption.
*pomf* "What are we going to do on the bed, Goldenrod?" - BearCider inspires a dirty mind.
In regards to Cockney Scootaloo, a source of laughter for me for well over a minute. It came up due to me wanting to change the american spellings of some words such as 'mom' to the english versions 'mum'. From there Seven decided that we should turn Scootaloo English and even go and give her a Cockney accent. Needless to say It was a smashin' ol' time chap
I'm touched, Seven. Scootaloo too.

Cockneyaloo was one of the best things I've heard today.
