I just made myself sad... · 4:05pm Aug 24th, 2014

So my dad and I have been watching a bunch of the Zucker Bros.' comedies recently, and this weekend we watched the first two Naked Gun movies (both absolutely excellent, by the way). I absolutely loved the Airplane movies as well, and I'm hoping I can find some episodes of Police Squad! later today.

Anyways, I went and looked up Leslie Nielsen, who acted in The Naked Gun movies as the main character, Frank Drebin.

Turns out he passed away in 2010.

That kinda made me sad...

We all pass away eventually. Some of us are more influential than others, but that doesn't make old age any easier to push away. Be glad for the time he was able to give to make you happier. Being sad sullies their memory.

Very true. Thank you, sir!

Dude...you didn't know he's already passed away? You mustn't have seen his movies until very recently then. Yeah...I miss the guy, too. He was a hell of a lot funnier a comedian than Robin Williams, and not one person made a peep when he died. Funny how that works.

I didn't realize there was a competition for best dead comedian. :trixieshiftright: I nominate George Carlin.

A fair choice. Very well then. Have at thee.

Guys...why are we arguing over funniest dead comedian? And why does Robin Williams have to be an arguing point in everything all of the sudden?

Hey, hey, I didn't bring the name up. :twilightsheepish: I was making lemonade, man.

No! Screw that! Take them lemons and blow someone's house up with 'em!

Lemon grenades? "Lemon 'nades"? Sorry. Had to.

No one's arguing, you Canuck-ass motherfucker. We're merely revelling in joyous dialogue. You better start revelling, too, goddammit. Right now! Or else...

I defy thee, sir.
(I, uh...I hope that isn't a problem, though...)
