Alright, let's just get it out there: stop being an asshole.

Like, seriously, I don't understand where you people think it's alright to constantly post asshole remarks across everything you see. I'm not talking about criticism or something, I just mean generally rude and unnecessary comments. Your freedom of speech doesn't mean you can be a dickhead, you know. Your internet anonymity also doesn't mean you can be a dickhead. Have some damn respect for each other. Giving someone a piece of your mind after they blow off your criticism is one thing, and may be warranted under reasonable limits, but just tossing out caustic remarks is another. It's also not funny. Like, I don't understand how anyone finds it hilarious when someone starts to get a little upset because of you being an asshole. It's immature. The general populace of fimfiction is probably 18+, and it's pretty damn sad that some of you are little children.

And excuse me for whining about it a little bit. It just gets annoying to see people who I know are in college or are even out of college and are working full-time jobs, or even have a family of their own who act like little kids. The internet is a playground, sure, but you gotta follow the damn rules if you want to swing on that swing. Slide is for the staff only, sorry.

Not really TL;DR worthy but if you're that lazy: grow up, read our rules, stop being a dickhead cause you think the "keks" are worth it. Cause you'll just get banned and eventually perma'd, and then you'll be upset about how it's "unfair" or something.

To lighten the mood, here's a silly Soldier picture:

this about the retardation that took place in anti-depression bronies?

No, other stuff that's accumulated over time.

Yip

Most of them are 18+? I'd disagree, but the attitude of some people that /are/ 18+ is pretty staggering nonetheless.

Very true. Sadly we live in a society that seems to allow or simply looks the other way when it comes to this sort of crap. You can't go anywhere either online or out in the real world without people being complete and total *buy some apples* just because they can.

Ugh... freedom to be a complete d bag should be the laws new name.

I think it's worse when people say stupid crap that doesn't really have a place in the topic, discussion, or just anywhere really.

Sure some dickwads do exactly that, but at least some of them stay on topic instead of "lol your avatar is cool" in a topic about movies. That is a literal waste of space.

I should have said the average is roughly 18+, rather than the general populace.

Being a bit of a dick in a constructed argument is different, sorta. I'm mostly talking about people who act like assholes cause it's "how u trolol" on the internet. It's really immature.

"Decency is a concept most just don't get."

Especially here. And on the internet.

Post this on /b/ I dare you

I applaud you for this. :raritywink:

4chan has its own little corner of the internet while we have ours (we being fimfiction). Hence why you need to act appropriately when moving to a different site. If you circlejerk in /b/ all day, don't bring that garbage over here. We have rules. Follow them.

2377560 We don't really have anonymity here, I'd say. Over on /b/, every time you're toasting in a new bread, you get a new ID, so you're untrackable across the board. On Fimfiction, your username is your tag, it's your constant. Whenever you (or rather, your username) posts something, everybody knows who did it. Sure, our real life identities may not be revealed, but we still have an online persona. People can say what they want, but many fail to realize that they actually have a reputation, and it's gonna stick with them as long as they use the account.
Of course, new accounts can be created, but they can either strengthen the community or poison it with their unnecessary scathing remarks.
I think usually when someone is just mean just for the sake of beng mean or because they're trying to be funny they're called out on it pretty quickly here.
