Aquaman's Feel-Bad Story Time Hour (Or: At This Point Whatever's Going On with Me and Flurry Heart Is Frankly None of Your Business)

Did you enjoy (in a figurative sense) me writing about Flurry Heart being in a toxic relationship in "And I Hope You Die"? Have you been thinking (in a literal sense), "You know, I bet the result of that toxic relationship's end is going to be that cotton-candy pony princess doing things that would be war crimes if she didn't win the war she crimed in?"

Monophobia Postmortem (Or: I Have Now Released My New Shit and My Fell-Off-Ness Is In a State of Constant Flux)

    "You used to be big."
"I am big. It's the [website] that got small."

(Come on, I've been living literally on Sunset Boulevard for a year and a half now. Gimme just this one bit of referential self-aggrandizement.)

I Ain't Fall Off, I Just Ain't Release My New Shit

That's true, by the way, not just a cheeky two-year-old Lil Nas X reference. I really have been working on lots of stuff over the past year or so: a few TV pilot scripts that I'm generally okay with as learning experiences, some networking-type stuff here in LA with other "pre-WGA" (which is our fun term for "aspiring" [which is our extra-fun

Hey, horsefic folks. How it's hanging?

I hope "in Bellevue" is at least some of your answers, because that's where I'll be in a few hours and will remain through the EFNW weekend. I'll be, as always, six-foot-four and affably daydrunk, so say hi to anyone who meets that description and sooner or later it's bound to be me.

    Regarding Less-Than-Positive Interpretations of Pride

Let's get a quick disclaimer out of the way before we really get going: I don't like foalcon. By "foalcon" here, I refer specifically to M-rated stories that depict characters who are very clearly meant to be minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct with other minors and/or adults. Not a fan of it! I find it gross on a personal level, I think it's morally reprehensible that a site of this

My Outside Insight Entry (Or: Thank God Almighty, I'm Free At Last Because This Damn Thing Is Finally Done And I Don't Have To Agonize Over It Anymore) · 4:57am Aug 16th, 2014

Although it may not seem so based on your notifications, I did in fact finish and submit my entry for Equestria Daily's Outside Insight Summer Fanfiction Contest. Unfortunately, due to both time constraints and the fact that the Google Doc translator widget on FIMFiction doesn't automatically transfer colored text over, I wasn't able to publish my entry on FIMFiction before the deadline. Instead, I've submitted it in Google Doc form, with all the bells and whistles I wanted attached to it. I absolutely plan on posting it here as soon as possible, but for now, consider this blog post your notification for the following story:

I am Cold, swirling snow that turns ponies against each other, searing ice that freezes them solid. I am Survivor, the one the Friendfyre spell didn't catch, an exception that proves an impossible rule. I am Fear, Frustration, Anger, Hatred, every emotion my Creator has ever felt. I am her Future. I am her Past.

I am Demon, and Clover the Clever is my Master.

(For any of you who received an error message trying to open the doc right after I made it public, I'm pretty sure I fixed the issue. For some reason, the page break after the title page was completely destroying the entire doc. Go figure.)

The title and image both hyperlink to the Google Doc where the story is currently hosted, so I implore all of you to give it a look. I can honestly say that this was the most stylistically challenging story I've ever even attempted to write, and despite the utter physical and mental exhaustion that writing it left me with, I'm very happy with and extremely proud of the final result. If you have any comments, feel free to leave them here or just wait until I can get the story fixed up on this site. In the meantime, good luck to my fellow contestants, and happy reading to everyone reading along with us.

(But seriously, though, fuck this story. God, my head's ready to pop like a firecracker.)

I think the best part of this contest is that there are multiple winners, so I can root for all of my friends who are participating without feeling bad about it! This is pretty; it's got a White Box look to it. I hope it does well.

Holy shit Aqua. That was cool as fuck.

Just read your work and all I can say is wow! :rainbowderp: Just...WOW! I mean I knew my work for this contest was only so-so at best (just to be able to say 'I did it, now I never have to do it again') but this just reaffirms my suspicions that I definitely don't deserve to win. :twilightoops: Man! I don't even deserve to be in the 'Top 10'! ('Top 20' on the other hoof, when I get done reading the rest I'll let ya know on that one.)
When this gets on here, I am definitely favoriting and upvoting on it!

He is Pansy.

At the very least, you get my eternal goodwill for this start alone.

Onwards!

Oh, balls. That's ridiculously good. Not just the writing, but the prompt use, too. I imagine a few folks will get tetchy about the colours, and I haven't quite decided how I feel about that yet, but it's still ridiculously good anyway.
