I second Follow Focus. This almost seems like a thinly veiled satire...almost. It's a bit of a reductionist statement to say a few imbeciles represent a whole. For example, you're a Canadian. Let's hypothetically say that you think all Americans should be forcibly sterilized. Now, would it be at all reasonable to suggest that your views represent your nation as a whole? No, it would not. These idiots mindlessly attacked the papacy without realizing that Catholics and Protestants have practically the same goals. This is akin to the Westboro Baptist Church, a tiny portion of all Christians. This sort of demagoguery would be reviled by the vast majority of the Christian community. This single blog posted by a few idiots doesn't merit ridicule on any scale larger than that which is reserved for the bloggers themselves.

Yeah, I know that. I'm just meaning that, while 99% of Christians are pretty cool, that one percent really skews the view of the entire lot of them. Doesn't mean all Christians are horrible fucknuts, and most aren't, just a few noticeable ones.

Yep. But there's always a small percentage of any group that's a little bit retarded. Even Buddhism. Also, demagoguery isn't a sin exclusive to theists, either. Ideologically militant atheists are just as zealous as any religious nutjob, as they've somehow managed to turn their lack of belief into a belief system by sheer negation. Boggles the mind.
