"Come in your phattatude!" (Yet another blog of an individual's reaction to Robin William's suicide) · 7:51am Aug 12th, 2014

I'm not sad. I can't let myself be sad. He spent too many years giving us all of himself to make us laugh. Make us want to be better people. While I'll continue and continue asking "Why" every time I see a picture of his staring back at me, I'll honor his wishes and just be grateful I was able to learn from him.

He may not have been happy with how our world is at the moment. May not be happy with growing old. But he never stopped loving making people laugh and doing what he could to try and make someone's life just a little better if he could.

Robin Williams was a complicated man. But he was a fine human being. We all have struggles and for some it's easier to escape than to face them head on.

Robin Williams has survived a lot of hardships. He shared that with us in his style of comedy. The roles he chose to play and characters he helped flesh out beyond the simplicities of a script.

And yet, many of us are still fighting over ponies and making death threats because someone out there enjoys ponies in a different way then how someone else thinks they should. Attacking people who even create the entertainment that is the show itself with degrading insults and worst. Groups seeking out to pressure those they don't like into suicide and yet claim to hate bully characters.

There are some seriously disgusting people in our world. And we just lost another of the few exceptions that made his life a mission to inspire us to be more.

So no, I won't be sad. I'll be glad to have known the man behind the genie. The man who went above and beyond to see and be around the children he loved. A man who inspired a generation.

(1:55-2:30) Nanue, Nanue!
