So let's instead discuss what we wanna see in S5. I've already made my list
>Spike gets several episodes about him becoming awesomer
>One of the Mane 6 finally finds a boyfriend. He lasts for all of one episode because SHIPPING IS SRS BZNS K
>Some of the secondary characters finally get bigger roles.
>Combined with the above, a Discord episode in which he goes around trying to learn more about this whole friendship thing and ends up bothering Braeburn, Zecora, Coco Pommel, Shining Armor and Cadance
>More Shout-Outs to Castlevania. And this time, to the actual Castlevania series, not that Lords of Shadow bullshit.
>Maybe the Discord episode I described above could give way to another Discord episode where he meets Trixie and they become friends
So what do you guys think? What are some of your own excited expectations that you're gonna send hate mail to Hasbro for if they're not met?
I have a feeling that ends badly, since Spike usually shifts back to being the barely-remembered minion as soon as the credits roll. I'd rather see him get some friends outside the major characters, develop a life of his own so there's room for him to still hang out with Twilight and her friends, but in episodes where he's not important he can make his exit from the story without being assigned of of the Twelve Tasks of Hercules or something.
I can already feel the anger radiating from badly written stories where Pinkie's boyfriend turns out to be some kind of psycho and then Cheese Sandwich inexplicably shows up and saves Pinkie, with maybe half the words spelled correctly on a good day. That said, it would be interesting to see this happen. I'm just not seeing a way that half the fandom doesn't explode as a result.
Yes. I don't care if it's those specific characters but the idea of Discord stumbling around in an attempt to befriend a pony that isn't friends with Fluttershy would be great. I'd also like to see him and Pinkie hang out, they seem like they should actually be pretty good friends by now.
All I ask for is one male alicorn character that isn't a love interest or a villain.
Being a huge fan of the Castlevania series,I wouldn't mind seeing a few more Castlevania references
(and I agree LoS is shit)
I'll settle with more interesting characters and songs.

Honestly a lot of people haven't gotten over it. Search for the "kwark strikes again" tag on Derpibooru, or just "artist:kwark85". He's continued to be butthurt all the way through season four.
I would be fine with one or more of the main characters getting boyfriends or whatever, I'm just expecting a legendary shitstorm if/when it happens. Especially once RealityCheck or Chatoyance comments on the matter.
An episode where Gilda returns and learns the value of admitting that one has flaws and can make terrible mistakes. Preferably with her getting more and more desperate to try and shift the blame from herself.
