Niaeruzu

Hi! I'm some guy who flails at a keyboard and then suddenly has popular changeling fanfiction. If anybody finds out how I did it, please tell me.

    I called it.

    I FRIGGIN' AHUBLUHBUJABBADOO CALLED IT

For those of you, who can't for the life of them remember who I am, hi, I'm Niaeruzu, and a couple of years ago, I wrote a fanfic about a changeling. It wasn't good, but it was still popular. I continued writing about changelings for a while until I had to quit because of mental issues.

    Ranty rant

Just a heads up, this blog post is mainly me complaining about how terrible my life is, so if that doesn't interest you... Uh, go do something you enjoy doing? It's not like I'm holding you hostage here, you know. Go have fun!

Back from Germany! Germane-y? · 2:25pm Aug 4th, 2014

Look, I came home in the middle of the night after driving for a really long time, I'm just gonna make bad jokes.

Galacon was pretty cool! We had a lot of trouble getting there in the first place, because me and my friends are a bunch of idiots, but we made it anyway! The trip was filled with a lot of bad jokes, a lot of shouting DUCKTALES WOOHOO and translating English songs to Dutch and making them sound absolutely terrible. The way back was comparable, but way shorter and with one guy having lost his voice. Didn't prevent us from laughing our asses off.

Anyway, Galacon was pretty much just like Bronycon and Babscon, but smaller. And more German. I only went to two events: the opening ceremony, which had a horribly jarring stylistic error ("The panel is almost starting soon!" MY STYLE SENSE IS GOING HAYWIRE), and the Creative Writing Workshop, which was very, very subdued until I presented a terrible half-theory while making dumb jokes. We also concluded that green is evil, and therefore Sweetie Belle is evil. Just sayin'.

Aside from that, I pretty much did a whole lot of horsing around, playing Cards Against Humanity and other random stuff. Most of the fun is hanging around with other people, after all!

So yeah, next con I'm going to is probably Hearth's Warming Con, which is like a forty minute drive from where I live. I might even talk to the people who run it to see if I can do a panel or something. As for now, I'm going to chill out and stuff, write some nonsense and some makes-slightly-moresense and have fun and stuff.

Did you visit Faustria too?

2342689 Nope, I'll be having none of that Faustrian nonsense.

Chilling out sounds like a great idea. How did you feel while at the con?

If I were able to go I would've put a pony outfit and the pony would be wearing the Schutzstaffel's uniform. I would walk around saying Hitler's greatest quotes.

2343086 Except the German people have a huge collective guilt regarding World War II and would probably not take kindly to you doing that.

In Germany, even JOKING about anything related to the Nazis will get you arrested. I'm not kidding. If it doesn't get you beaten down by a crowd, first.

2343032 Pretty decently. A bit exhausted from the long drive, but all in all, I felt slightly less discomfort than I usually do in large crowds like these. Still pretty anxious, though.

Oh, how was the Creative Writing Workshop? I wanted to attend, but it clashed with the Jan Animation's panel.

2345627 Very calm, very subdued. It was mostly a mindstorming session about some very minute details, such as jobs and differences in body language. Not really something I was looking for, but somewhat interesting nonetheless.

Ok, that sounds rather specific, but interesting nonetheless. I was rather intrigued by the "Mythology in MLP" panel that replaced CrikeyDave's Sunday morning. Apart from general societal things it compared RD's and Fluttershy's roles with those of Pegasus from Greek mythology...
