England Day 3 · 5:24pm Jul 25th, 2014
It's been a right long time since I last posted a blog post, an even longer time since I posted anything but empty promises for stories that never came. I decided that I oughtn't just ramble on about just anything, so I just didn't blog.
I've found something to blog about.
A few days ago, I, my younger brother, my mother, and my grandmother arrived at Heathrow Airport near London. It is unseasonably hot and muggy here, and the weather is sunny and miserable. I'd been looking forward to some properly British weather, the likes of which simply do not exist in California. I was, in that respect, disappointed.
The rest of the trip has been wonderful, though. The high point has been sitting in the few dark, damp-ish places I could find and looking at the lovely Georgian and Tudor-Gothic architecture in and around Bath and the Cotswolds.
We are now staying in a wonderful hotel in Oxford, laying about as Grandma and Mother recover from jet-lag, something I have yet to experience for some reason.
Should anyone actually be reading this—which is doubtful—I will attempt to continue blogging about my stay here in Europe, through our eventual trip to France and then back to the UK to Scotland.
