Enjoy that feeling, because one day you will find that everything you know and love has crumbled around you without you even noticing it. When you try to rebuild, you discover that those "regrets" have expanded into heavy weights that will hold you down while the world passes you by. Personally though, my attitude in regards to the reboot could best be summed up as "what reboot?" Maybe their history has changed, but mine certainly hasn't and EVERY episode of the original, Next Generation, DS9, and Voyager still exists for me to watch and enjoy.
...oh, and Enterprise too, I suppose.

I wouldn't say they were rendered meaningless. I mean, even without the 2009 reboot, everything in the series still never actually happened, it being a TV show and all. But I can still sit down and enjoy episodes like Yesterday's Enterprise and Balance of Terror and Blink of an Eye and...
