Are Those Stormclouds Building On The Horizon? · 8:38pm Jul 18th, 2014
I'm feeling great because my co-worker was finally approved for a laptop. That means he can work from home and I can have my office again. It's not a sure thing yet, but if it goes through, then The Great Pony Word Drought of '14 may be coming to an end. I'd love to get back to writing several hours a day, rather than for one or two on the weekends. It's hard to mentally sink into a story when you know that you won't be able to be in there for any time at all.
I have so many ideas right now, and it would be really great to get to work on some of them. Truth be told, I have gotten to work on quite a few, but it's like a thousand or so words of eight stories. Not enough to really get a good sense on if things are going to turn out or not. Hopefully this will happen. If so, I hope to be entertaining you all again, rather than just sitting here staring at my blinking cursor and wishing my co-worker would get off his five hour conference call. It's so hard to concentrate when that happens.
perhaps you should... collaborate more!
2297544 Right now I don't really have the time. The story I write with Steel is about 80% of the writing I do in any given week at this point. If I have my office to myself again, I'll have much more time to work on my own stuff and maybe collaborate more.
wait, you write while you're at work?
2299617 That's my main writing location. Or, rather, it was before they put this other guy in my office. He's a nice dude, but he talks all the time. My job is about 90% free time, so I used to fill it by writing pony words. Now I just talk to my co-worker because I can't concentrate with his chatter.
