I never expected the original Friday Night Twilight to be popular, or even well liked. Imagine my surprise when this happened:

Not bad for a measly 1800 words.

Several commenters called for more chapters or a sequel. I never planned on that but, since somebody asked, I spent some time wondering what would happen next for the main characters. More importantly, I started to wonder how their adventures in watching TV and eating snacks would conclude.

I came up with some ideas and started work on a sequel that would be longer and more thought out. Considering the original was written in a couple late night hours following the season four finale, I wasn't worried about either of those objectives. The sequel took longer than I expected, partly because I wanted the story to take place during the airing of season four. That's all beside the point though. I wrote a sequel and expected that it'd probably hit the popular list like its precursor.

I didn't expect this:

Or this:

The story isn't even fully posted and yet, for a brief time, it was at the top of the hot list. For me the best part is the comments that dissect the main character's relationship and speculate on where the story's going. Even some of the extremely off the mark ideas about what's going to happen next sound like they would've been fun to explore. I won't be going there though; the chapters are written and the overall plot (yes, I'm claiming there is one) is set in stone. If you've enjoyed the story so far I hope you like what follows. :raritywink:

We love you too.

(as long as you keep writing. Otherwise, we'll hunt you down and... hug you. Yes. Hug.)

Sometimes the best 'hugs' are given with two hands around the neck :pinkiegasp:
