Chapter 1-9 canon update! · 10:29pm Jul 1st, 2014
Alright, while working on the next chapter, I decided to go back and clean up the previous chapters a bit, and fix the broken italics container in 'Getting an Upgrade'. Now, while the changes aren't really gamechangers, I would suggest that you go back and re-read chapter 4, as it now contains some canon information that I was going to drop later, but decided to do now, for lack of a better way of doing it. I also did a little rewrite of #72 and David's fight towards the end of 'One Bad Day...'.
Chapters 2-4: I changed David's karma from 'Evil' to 'Neutral'. I think I had a plan for that when I was in the very early stages of writing the first five chapters, but I must've forgotten it. Oops.
Chapter 4: I've revealed that the Twilight in my story is adopted. I've been dropping hints about her biological parents, but to be honest, I haven't really been able to think of a subtle way to reveal in the next few chapters like I wanted, so I just decided to just drop it in 'Demons' when I was making a few slight changes. Of course, those 'few slight changes' ended up being well over a thousand words (1,444 to be exact), so it'll probably be worth a reread. It's not gonna be a game-changer, though, if you don't read it. It's mostly a little bit of foreshadowing and fluff between David and Twilight, as well as a description of David. I've been trying to find a good place to say just how tall David is (I've hinted that he's pretty freaking tall), so I just dropped it in the part where Twilight is ogling his face. He's a few inches over seven feet tall, but his official height is gonna be 7'4".
TALL. Now, I know that having an overly tall character in my story is kinda cliche, but I don't care. I usually don't use characters taller than six feet, but I had quite a bit of fun with the 'player.setscale' and 'modscale' commands in Fallout 3. It was quite amusing to make yourself a freaking giant, and shrink your enemies (or even friendly NPCs) to the size of ants. Ever pulled the Lyons Pride from the Citadel, shrunk them to the size of ants, gave them essential status and pitted them against Talon Company, or the Capitol Building?
It's AMAZING.
