It's been another busy month, though my plans to publish something every week were foiled this week by the double whammy of a family wedding all weekend and the revelation that Ob's competition got 64 entries for me to judge (down from 66 due to disqualifications, small mercies!). It's nice to be busy though I guess, and it helps distract me from the stress of work! What have I written that you might have missed then?
So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish
Based on a true story! Seriously! PK found his pet fish in the freezer after ten years and I decided to write a story for him. I really liked this one, he liked it too, so I call it a success! I'd been meaning to write it for about half a year actually, just never got the chance to sit down and do it (like most of my ideas).
Originally it was going to be Buck Rogers themed, this ended up as just one line. Also it was start 42, totally a coincidence though I'll gladly pretend it was a clever meta joke.
The Viper In Ponyville
It was Knighty's birthday and he wanted me to write a Game of Thrones fic. I don't think this was what he had in mind, but c'mon, can you see me write a proper GoT crossover? Would that even work without being worldbreaking? Perhaps you could replace all the murders, mutilation and naughtiness with really banal things?
Anyway, after episode 8, I'm never being mean to a watermelon again. This was a really fun story, though does break one of my cardinal rules of crossovers in that you need to have seen or heard of the original to get the joke. Normally I like things to stand alone, but for something like this, I couldn't resist.
Princess Rainbow Dash
Look, it's going to happen eventually, Hasbro are just terribly predicable like that. There's a Princess Rainbow Dash toy kicking about on ebay which no-one knows if it's an official test shot (with a weird bump) or a knock off. This is how I deal with the horrible trauma of the upcoming alicornation of the mane 6. (Personally I hope they don't, because then the 'My Little Pony' show won't have any ponies. Surely they need to keep variety in the toyline! Surely!)
The Truth, Or Something Beautiful
It was the birthday of a friend back in uh, early June and I said I'd write a seapony story! So I did! Well, it's one chapter in. Chapter 2 is half-done, but I'm not sure if I want to extend it and make it two parts or three. It depends on pacing and length, watch this space. It will be within the week though, or you can poke me in the eye!
TO DO IN JULY: Definitely finish off The Truth, Or Something Beautiful. I have a few other things to finish up, but I really want to get something original written before my birthday (August 16th). I keep putting it off by writing fanfic, but at least I'm writing something, I guess.
As always, please let me know what you think, either generally or of my stories. Any other things you want to see? It's really a big motivation to see comments on my stories, it lifts my blackened, coal-like heart.

I still need to read all of those stories, though some of them are in my read later list. You'll know what I think of them once I comment, but I have come to enjoy your stories. Especially since I never gave you the light of day because . . . I just wasn't looking your way. XD

Hasbro has been, too. I've been hearing about people having their MUSIC videos taken down because of audio clips from the show and even art that they drew themselves.
Soon, we won't even have YouTube. YouTube will copyright claim itself.

I would love to do a collab with you, considering we both write a lot of random comedies. The only difference being that you've done so for about two more years than I have and are a lot better/practiced at it.

Your birthday's on august 16th? Happy early birthday, for however old you're turning. Anyway, I loved this month. I didn't read Viper in Ponyville till recently, mainly because GoT is rated adult, and I'm just fourteen, but I enjoyed it. I was laughing far too hard.
