The Most Dangerous Deadline - Contest · 3:42pm Jun 28th, 2014
Well, that's a wrap, folks! The Submissions period of The Most Dangerous Game contest is over!
All said, we brought in approximately SIXTY SIX entries, which is an enormous and totally unpredicted total. Great job, guys! Really looking forward to reading through all the entries.
These results have pretty far outstripped expectations, so expect the judging period to take somewhere from 2-3 weeks. Hopefully closer to the 2 than the 3, but we'll see what happens. I'll make a post to announce when the judging's over and the Audience Participation stage will begin, so keep an ear to the ground on that. Depending on how close the judging gets, it's possible that more than the previously-expected five stories will be moving on. But no promises there.
You can find most of the published entries in the Group Folder here. An absolutely complete list of all entries listed below for your perusal:

Wow.
At first, I thought you were saying "Amazingly, these stories AREN'T as terrible as I thought they were going to be", then I realized you meant the number of entries, not the quality of said entries.
Wow.
Good luck everyone!
Bootiful.
You people are monsters, I hope you're all happy with yourselves.
Best of luck to everyone, especially the judges.

Immensely.
2240856
66 entries, many of them (including my own) over 10K words in length, and with the prompts being the ideas that typically cause train-wrecks? Yeah, I agree, the judges will need the best of luck
2240856
Also, you dirty son of a bitch. I'll have you know that gray is an abomination.
Oh god why must there be so many
2240867
At this moment you're basically Hitler
2240886
I went for all five prompts (well, four and a half, I used second person perspective just for the scenes told from the human's point of view). There was no way in Tartarus that I was going to be able to fit my story in just a few K words
I fucking hate you all.
*reading intensifies*

2240949 Rustled Jimmies! Rustled Jimmies everywhere!
Hey, I take it as good exposure for the authors who submitted their entries! It's fun, provides a degreee of challenge and lets the authors see what the other contestants submitted.
Win or lose, I had fun with this.
Good luck, judges! May God have mercy on your souls!

Win or lose we have to read 66 Fics

I was quite surprised. It attracted nearly as many fics as the Everfree Northwest fic contest, the difference being that the minimum word count for this one was nearly the maximum for the EverfreeNW one; that was crazy.
I guess there are too many writers with free time on their hands right now...
Why isn't my story in here? It's in the group.
2241201
Whoops. Looks like it accidentally got snipped out while I was formatting the list. No worries--it's in the judging doc. Just added it to the list.
2241208
Thanks.
Could you please change all these google redirect urls to the actual fimfic urls?
May Luna give bid dance to the judges..
Wait, I have to read 66 stories?
.... *sighs in frustration* And to think I hate reading. This will be agonizing... Worst than English class! We only had to read like three or four stories over the course of a year. I'm goons to have a hard time with this.
Luna help me.
Not Celestia.. I don't hate her, I just dot favor her.
Good luck to the judges I reading 66 agonizing stories.

Good luck, friends :)
