How to Deal With an Account Made by a You Who Hasn't Existed for Seven Years

Today is my seven year anniversary of joining this site. While I haven't posted on here in a while and am conspicuously not looking at any specific story I keep telling myself I'll get back to one day, I have still been somewhat active in reading on this site. The more time that's gone on, though, the stranger it is to look at the stories I have here, and not just because one of those stories is

This Blog is About The Immortal's Burden

tl;dr up front: No, it isn't getting a sequel unless I get an idea I feel is good enough to follow it up.

So I've seen some comments asking me to make a sequel for The Immortal's Burden, and they have a couple upvotes, so it seems like at least a few people want this. I'm sorry to bear bad news, but that's probably not going to happen for a couple reasons.

What's Half an Inch Long and Stuck in My Root Canal?

Gosh, it's been an interesting two weeks.

In terms of good news, I got a chapter of Hourglass posted, cementing myself into a monthly update schedule! I don't think I've ever been this proud to be this pathetic. Hopefully when the story picks up, so will my schedule. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.

Like Sands Through The Hourglass, This Is My Mental State

Okay, so at the start of November I started posting my story Hourglass for NaNoWriMo. I already had some chapters written when I published the story so I could have a buffer in case I missed some writing in my planned every-other day schedule. I had preplanned individual chapters far ahead to reduce time in brainstorming and writing.

Things Change · 9:04am Jun 28th, 2014

So you've seen this before from me. A blog post saying, "Oh, I'm so sorry I'm late and I have a good reason and blah blah blah." Well, I'm done with that now. That's because I will no longer be writing What Lies Within.

The story is NOT cancelled. Nor will it go on hiatus. I will be transferring it over to my good friend and brother 8542Madness, who will take the reigns while still following my idea for the plot.

I'm just sick of letting my readers down. You deserve to have someone who is a better and more reliable author, and who already has experience with writing longer stories. I've just run out of drive to finish this story; the idea remains but my motivation has fled me. I don't want to let the people who actually read this story down, so I'm working to find a way to continue this and give the reader the respect that they deserve, the respect that I feel I haven't been showing. I will still be writing, but I will stick to one shots. That way, my frustratingly short period of inspiration won't affect my writing as much.

I wish you all the best, and I know that What Lies Within is in better hands now.

You might want to link us to the account of the new author, kinda difficult to find him/her by just snooping around.

Best Wishes.

2240613 Hmm. I could have sworn I had done that. My fault, and fixed. :twilightblush:
