What they did was outside the normal scope of intelligence for their kind, whatever in Tartarus they are, ye ken?” Keg Smasher said in a low voice, speaking to Bucky and trying not to disrupt the ponies celebrating in the room.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, I believe the wolves are far more sapient than the Ponies are giving them credit for.
They actually seem to be able to do some abstract thinking, and that makes them very dangerous.
As for another herd member... Yeah, I can see Bucky wanting to add another member. It makes sense in a way. Mainly because he said that he gets his strength from those he loves. Adding more to the herd only increases his power.
I suppose that is another thing he shares with Sombra. The desire to become more powerful. The exception is the reasoning behind it. In the head cannon you've revealed, through the story and the Q and A sessions, Sombra's unquenchable thirst for power really came to light after he lost his mind and his bride.
That's when he was able to transcend from the being he was into the nearly immortal being he became.

So... about The Chase ... any other updates from the Mainland? I'd love to know whats going on with Luna and Barley... or maybe Bucky's parents... and what about that crazy one talking to the portrait of Princess Platinum? Is the Cray-cray one have something to do with the wolves? Or... maybe... what you said about the other members of Bucky's house ending up on the isles and then go sour instead of sweet have more to do with the wolves too?
... I never really was into MLP until I started reading this story. Kinda weird how I got won over.
