TrotCon, Moonlight, and how to write professional speedfics

First off, I wanted to thank everyone who read and commented on Moonlight. It's definitely my favorite story I've written yet, and it was great to see it get such a positive reception. As far as a sequel goes, I have no plans at the moment, but I might revisit it later for a short story or oneshot. The dream setting opens up a lot of possibilities, and that made it a really fun story to

    I will never sleep

Looks like I'm starting another fairly long multi-part story against my better judgement. I know exactly what I'm getting myself into. I will probably regret this in a few months.

Anyway, it's based on an idea I've been working on for a few months. I'll try to post chapters on a fairly regular schedule, unless life gets in the way.

Stay tuned for terrible things happening to Scootaloo.

    Weekly Writer's Workshop

I'll be doing an interview at 3 PM (EST) today on the Weekly Writer's Workshop with Golden Vision. We'll be talking about that one story I wrote that a lot of people read, as well as tips for aspiring writers. It's the perfect thing to listen to if you're trying to write a story, but don't want to actually work on it, so you're

    A Cutie Mark Crusaders Christmas!!

I guess that "A Cutie Mark Crusaders Hearth's Warming Eve" would be more accurate, but it doesn't have the catchy alliteration.

I just finished a new story and submitted it, so it should be up on the site pretty soon!

Free Internets to a Good Home · 3:30pm Dec 26th, 2011

I've received so many Internets from this story that I don't know what to do with them all. It's a good thing that the Internet is not a big truck, but rather a series of tubes, as they are easier to store.

I'm still surprised at how popular this story is getting, and I'm surprised at the ratio of "Lyra is best pony" comments compared to "Oh God why" comments on the third chapter. You guys really are a supportive bunch. I'm also enjoying all of your speculation. Some of it is accurate, some of it completely misses the mark, and NONE of you have noticed the subtle hints I've been dropping in the story so far regarding a plot twist I'm predicting will end up around Chapter 9 or so.

Yes, I have a plan for this story, it will likely end up being very long, and it's a good thing that I have all these Internets in case it gets too big for just one.

I think I've got a good idea of the next few chapters, but not the larger story.

Whoo! This story is awesome and Lyra with hands is amazing !

I was hoping you would say that! The story is awesomee! :rainbowkiss:

You admitting to dropping subtle hints just sparked my brain into overload. I'm not really prpared to give my thery just yet seeing as it'sreally farfetched, but if it turns out to be tru then you are truely a literary genius! I wouldn't of come to the concusion if you hadn't mentioned that we wre missing something.

If my theory'ms way off the mark though, I'll probably stll call you a literary genious for dropping a plot bombshell on me when the twist's revealed.

I'm now going to have to go over the current chapters with a fine toothed comb now to find those hints.
