Anyone know if anyone has ever written a fanfic based on "Cupcake" by Cherax Destroyer? Because I totally have the whole fic thought up, but who knows, maybe someone out there has done it well already. It's such a great song, and the lyric is really catchy and gets stuck in my head. Like all day at work while I think to myself about what story could be behind it.
According to the description on Youtube, it could be about any pony you imagine, but he thinks it's from the perspective of Applejack. My story idea is actually first person, told from the perspective of an OC whom I have not thought of a name for yet, who is an out of work poet that has started to go to Sugarcube Corner to see Pinkie Pie and begins to write her poems on napkins.
And on an unrelated note, one that I am not planning on writing but thought would be interesting... has anyone written a human in Equestria story where a girl goes to Equestria rather than a guy? Because, you know, most HiE seems to be about guys going to Equestria and being subjugated by the matriarchy or getting intimate with ponies (i.e. self-insert lol)... Just a thought. I don't think I've seen that, not that I go out of my way to look for HiE fanfic.
There are HiE stories where a girl goes to Equestria, though I can't remember which ones right now.

I do think it's less common for HiEs to be female, but I know of some stories where that's the case. There's even a group for them - not nearly as big as the HiE group, but:

One of the best out there, in my opinion, is Project Sunflower by Hoopy McGee. It's not your typical explanationless "guess what? You're in Equestria now!" story, and it's well worth a read even if you don't normally go for HiEs.

2167311 The cover art for the sequel does make her look like an alicorn there, doesn't it? She's not. At least not in the "powerful magic" way that Celestia, Twilight, etc are. It makes more sense once you've read the first story.
