<Professional> Updates: What Is Quillin Working On? · 7:15pm May 27th, 2014
Okay, so I realize I haven't posted anything in a long while, save for random blogs and obscure calls for characters. So, here's a professional one for a change! Yay!
So, first things first.
1. Assassin's Creed: Musical Overture
This is by far my most popular multi-chapter story. I am glad people like it, really. But the thing is I write for my enjoyment, and I've since looked back at the story, and found that I didn't like the way it was executed. Thus, I am putting this on an indefinite hiatus. I'm sorry AC:MO fans, but I just don't like the way I wrote it anymore. Characters were too blocky, plot was rushed, and there was too many spontaneous things going on due to me getting random ideas while writing. In short, it turned into something that the Assassin's Creed franchise isn't: a smooth storyline that keeps readers guessing. I turned it into what AC would be if it was a CoD game.
In short, AC: MO is on hiatus until I decide to rewrite it. Sorry guys.
2. That Others May Live
This is my new multi-chapter that I am working on. It's an alternate universe war story, and I want this to be the best thing I've ever written, so I'm taking my time with it, as well as making sure I at least have close to 5 chapters done before I publish anything. This is so then you guys won't have to badger me about when a new chapter will come out for a bit; you'll have a good bunch to read beforehand. Also, this will allow me to have a definite plot going so then I won't stray onto random tangents like I did with AC: MO. At the moment, I only have one chapter done with the second in the working stage.
This is the story that will have several fan OCs and will be the main focus for the most part.
3. A Study on Timberwolves
This is another big story I am hoping to do. It's only just started, with a basic outline and a first chapter. Basically, it'll be a first person POV of a scientist going into the Everfree and researching Timberwolves. The research within will obviously be simple head canon. It's also just an interesting idea, as I don't think anyone's gone into depth on Timberwolves in this fandom yet.
AND NOW, MOST IMPORTANTLY
4. Miscellaneous One-Shots
As a writer, I actually excel at writing one-shots. The majority of the stories I post are one-shots. This means that even though I have these other projects, I will continue to write a one-shot every now and then. The genres can range from sad to happy, funny to scary, etc. Below are some, but not all, ideas I have that I am working on.
A. SAW: Equestria - (One-shot of a pony going through a SAW game.)
B. An Apple in the Rough - (AJ and Rarity friendshipping story.)
C. Rainfall - (Sad Octavia fic.)
D. Shades of the Everfree - (Blaire Witch Project-style horror fic.)
E. Pinkie Pie Tries Coffee - (Title says it all.)
Again, that's not all, but those are some possible things that could come out.
Anyways, that's all the updates I have for y'all. Sorry if some of it disappointed you guys, but remember that I don't just do this for y'all's enjoyment; I do it for myself as well. Well, see y'all next time!

Quillin Words
You fell the same way about AC:MO as I do about every multi-chapter thing I've ever done. On a related note, if you ever need ideas about timberwolves for that one story, I've got plenty of headcanon I've developed around them, partly because my Project Lavender thingy needed an explanation of how timberwolves worked to be feasible.
Maybe I'll write a story on that.
