For those wondering why I haven't been doing anything lately

I've been checking the second book I'm going to publish called Lux Locus: The First Awakening. I won't give details right now, but it's a sci-fi fantasy hybrid in the same vein as Warhammer 40K, but with (If I did it right) a balance between grimdark and noblebright with a lot of grays. For the UNIVERSE (not this one book) I have at least 20 alien species (humans included) that will be main

    For my next project

I want to start writing the sequel to my self-published book Reverting Scales. I was going to wait, but it seems it isn't progressing that much in sales, and I don't have the means to pay for advertising.

    Boom! Big Reveal!

Almost done with the Helluva Boss fanfic. Sorry for taking so long. Started working as a...dishwasher. One chap left.

When it's done I'll finish a project I put on hold here then resume Left Behind: Sunny Disposition (it already has two chapters finished, and the third should be done quite quickly).

Welp, I'm nothing but an advisor now. · 1:18pm May 18th, 2014

For whoever even reads this, and I know there's very few of you, even amongst my followers, I tried. After my previous rage and dropping my expectations WAY below sea level to compensate and remodesty myself (if that's even a word), nothing worked. My stories are no longer welcome here, apparently. I try to get those that have been well viewed in the past into "special groups" made for promoting, but to no avail. No matter. It's their choice. I'm not here to force. I also seem to be constantly losing followers and gaining more to stagnate at 548. Putting oxyclean down the sink pipe doesn't seem to work. Hmmmmmm.

No. I'm not leaving. I refuse to forget and have others forget me. I tried to make the third part of "The true Psychopath" storyline, but no one bothered to read it. If a message could be any clearer it would defy physics.
Here's a tip: If your story is not well viewed after 12 hours of its submission by moderators, then it's lost. I've tested this with a few other stories similarly to prove this belief.

Since my stories and the Illogic are no longer welcome here, I'll serve as an advisor for newcomers and already established authors who want help with their stories and developping ideas...if they'll have me and IF and ONLY IF they need it. I'm not going to pounce on you to harvest your organs ('cept maybe a piece of that small intestine). While I wait, I'll gather my patience and try to finally finish my current book and touch up an entirely new setting that I painstakingly converted from a few dozen articles I removed from an old 40k fan wiki. Setting meaning things like "steampunk" setting or "fantasy" setting. I'm hoping it ends up being unique. No. Really. It was hard to convert things that you made specifically for a universe and all its established...establishing establishments of Establysh. STOP LAUGHING AT ME! And please, no clop, romance, or slice of life. I won't help with those three. Clop because I hate it, and the other two because they bore me tremendously.

It's your decision and I respect it.
I really enjoyed some of your stories and It's good to hear that you're not leaving. I wish you the best of luck.

With love, Asabrasa.

2121686 It's actually not by choice that I'm doing this. It's because nobody reads them anymore, so I thought I could help others who might try and establish themselves in the fandom or who just want to share stories.

2121688 The point is, you are an awesome author. You have probably made a lot of people happy and whatnot and you should be proud over what you have accomplished.
And it's great that you want to help out other people. Keep doing what you want and never stop.

2121702 I am proud. I've learned (through means I'd prefer to keep secret. No. They're unrelated to IRL experiences no matter the medium) to be grateful for what I already have and to be humble. Pride in your work is good if you keep it to yourself, or at least to keep it at a good level when asked about it. I'm just annoyed that no one cares anymore. There's usually a phase where it becomes apparent. You know, the gentle dwindling. No. I was thrown off the plane without a parachute.:applejackunsure:

The worst part is that I have no idea why it's happened.

2121714 I wish I could relate to your experience, but I understand what you mean. Maybe it's just a low period. Maybe a lot of people have abandoned the fandom or something. I do understand your frustration. When you put a lot of time and effort into something and you make it public. It's nice to get some kind of recognition, but you can't be lucky every time.
I think there is a lot of luck involved into the whole thing. I can't really relate to how you are feeling, but I can understand that it sucks big time.

There are some things that we always wonder and no matter how hard we try. We can never get the answer. If I knew why people suddenly lost interest in your stories, then I would tell you, but sadly I don't
Just stay strong, buddy. You will get your time in the spotlight again. :)

2121742 Then my "low" period has been lasting for a year. I've also noticed that tons of other stories get plenty of views. My short-lived third Psychopath story was between two stories that got around 35 views in the short time they were released.

I still don't get why my stories are now ignored. Did I do something wrong? Is it because I hate slice of life, romance, and porn? What is it?:applejackconfused:

2121748 Too heavy, dark, and random. It's like that confusing ride down the toilet all your old cockroaches and still-living fish had to go through. With Acid.

2121748 I really have no clue. I'm not much for slice of life, romance and porn myself. As long as you write what you want to write. Then you you can't be doing something wrong.

2121815 I don't get it. My stories are actually like that?! Also, what do you mean by "too heavy"?

2121841 True, but a true writer needs to listen to their readers and adapt to the needs of the majority without compromising the original content.

2121925
Well...I'm sorry to hear you won't be writing any longer. I always found your stories to be some of my favourites:pinkiesad2:.

However, if you are deadset on this, is it okay if i rewrite Equinox Kingdom: The Corruption spreads? Of course I would denote it as a collab in the comments, but I really wanted that one to go somewhere the most.

2122027 We can do it together if you want. I planned on doing Pinkie Pie next, then try and create simple stories afterwards. When Riygan finally bothered to answer, he didn't say much for Pinkie, and when I tried to discuss it with him, he did his usual and disappeared again or simply wouldn't answer.:ajbemused:

2122095
Sure thing.Should pull up the old PMs?:unsuresweetie:

2122105 You mean all the ideas I archived here?

Also, it's not my choice to stop writing. People just don't care about me or like me anymore.:applecry:

2122116
Hmmm...it always bugs me when good authors (who haven't let their internet success go to their head) don't get recognized for the work they do.

2122378 He said it didn't go to my head?...There's a little dirt trail right there on my cheek. It leads to my head.:pinkiecrazy: It's a perilous climb.

2122392
You don't act like it though. I've spoken with a few that have, and do, so I know.

2122416 It was a joke. A JOKE! WHY DIDN'T YOU GET THE JOKE?! *causes rockslide on nearby town*

2122418
...Oh:twilightoops:. Sorry, I haven't been 100% in the last few days, so...yeah.

Anyway, I'll PM you my version of Equinox when I'm done, and we go from there. That sound good, or did you have an idea for a different approach?

2122435 We just need an origin story for Zalgy Pie and the stories can continue from there.

2122438
Done and done. I'll send you the dets via PM, as per usual.

*sends pinkie pie to Psycho to give hugs*
sorry to hear this. I wish you luck in the future.

2122620 Not really my fault nor my choice.:fluttercry:

2121925 Well...that's part of the story...the other half is vaguely reminiscent of a lone man in a black trench-coat walking through a desert on fire in the middle of the night groaning and moaning from severe broken bones.

It's like watching the populace of Hyrule, Castletown post timeskip in Ocarina of Time. You know, the things that scream at you, grab you, and kill you that way? Yeah...

I know I'm not doing well describing 'heavy', but I've always been particularly fumble-worded. I'm probably exaggerating.

*IkioStar uses Dark Pulse*

2122786 Oh, because I'm completely lost.

2122806 ...You need to get out more. Anyways, you don't include any light moments where the reader can relax in most of your stories. It's like a constant droning siren stuck on either 'Danger! Danger!' or 'I'm so emo-goth-scene black wearing charlatan and I'm stuck in a constant loop of decay.'

Do you get it now?
*IkioStar uses Yawn*

2122838 Clearly you've only read either my FMTM series or my attempts at dark.

2122871 Most likely. If you've something not dark, I've not seen it. Though, I think your typical style is dark in nature. And FMTM is one of my favorites. I doubt you remember most of my comments.

2122941 I do not, unfortunately. Also, I personally think my style is more comedic than dark, or I subliminally introduce dark without knowing it. It wouldn't be the first time my sub-concious pulled something like that.

I love your stories, they are awesome! Unfortunately I'm not really active on this site anymore, I've got a lot of others things to do for the moments. I have 327 chapters in my favorite to read and for one chapter that I read, I get two new one :unsuresweetie:

2124966 I know that others all have stuff to do, but when you deal with this sort of thing several times, then see that your sequel to a most beloved story only gets fourteen views with the first ten being from you after twelve hours...That's enough to firmly confirm your initial suspicions.

2124956 Yeah, your subconscious is doing that to you.

2125469 Eh. It puts things in stories that I didn't even know about, so...

2126223 ...*IkioStar uses Nuzzle!* Well, hope you do well, Psychopath! ...Hope the shocks don't hurt too much... I'm...going to go now...

2126263 Shocks? You mean my headaches? I have nowhere to write stories, now. The ideas are piling up again. I even wanted to write a warframe crossover with this. Four tenno in Equestria with Captain Vor and some grineer as well...

2126282 ...You don't know about Pokémon, do you?

2126294 You're a glaceon. You can't "shock".

2126303 ...I wasn't always a Glaceon, you know. I was a Flygon, and a Dragonite previously. I've also been a Vulpix. There's this weird thing around my neck shaped like a choker...it's a randomizer. I've evolved several times previously. I'm lvl 50. Those are only four of my 16 previous evolutions.

edit: In other words, you can treat me like a hack.

2126348 I'm wondering. I'd like to perform a test with the warframe story, but need confirmation before doing so. Crossovers are viewed how, exactly? When I tried with DarkSiders, it was well received, but I didn't do it right because War was too hard to write with without changing his personality.

2126378 Crossovers are typically viewed in a negative light. However, if it comes from a particularly favorite franchise, most will view it before giving a vote based on quality. Some crossovers are actually terrible... You may want to pick one of the big group gaming franchises. Pokémon and Zelda are viewed well...as are Fallout and Angry-Space-Marine/Emperor-of-Man-thing. ...Bleach tends to be a frequent source as well.

I've only liked two Zelda crossovers so far...most of the other crossovers tend to be crappy in nature.

2126729 Warframe has a rather huge player base and it's a successor to Dark Sector, also a very good game. Thanks for telling me about crossovers, though.

2126800 You could go for broke and do a He-Man crossover. That one hasn't been done before.

2126822 Do you like anything from the early 90s?

2126926 I wasn't exactly "Mentally stable" at the time as I was born in 1992. I'm not too fond of he-man but I remember watching it, Thundercats, Voltron, and Power Rangers on Toonami. There wa also another show where three kids would become beetle warriors similar to power rangers. I can't remember what its name was. There wasn't much to watch at the time until I discovered Cartoon Network.

2128490 I'm a '94 kid. I liked stuff from the 90's and I never said I was mentally stable.

2129841 Well, I didn't exactly have the same mental capabilities as now.

I tried to make the third part of "The true Psychopath" storyline, but no one bothered to read it.

This might be why it got very few views within the first twelve hours (which seems a terribly short time-frame to me). A reader who's new to your work isn't going to start on part three of a long storyline. They might see part three, then click through the link to start reading part one... but then they won't get to part three until after your twelve-hour testing window has passed.

If you want to get views within the first twelve hours, a stand-alone story might work out better. I don't know for sure, I'm just guessing here.

I mean, it's your decision whether you want to carry on, or never write for this site again, or just take a break for a bit. I'm just theorising here.

2132382 I was mosly expecting those who read them prior to be excited. Don't worry. I've tested this theory quite a few times. I still have one portion of story types that I never experimented with here. I'm more than expectant for the third part to not get as much attention if the previous weren't read yet. A fine example would be my "From man to mare" series.

I've tried time and time again to please the readers and see if new ones will like my stories. It's literally become clear that I'm no longer welcome in the author community.

CCC

2132475

"Unwelcome" still seems a strange conclusion to come to. What experiment did you use to differentiate it from the "lost in the crowd" hypothesis?

2134335 None of my recent stories have been read unless they were one-shots, and even then, they usually get average 150 views, max 300. When I make stories of many chapters, nobody bothers anymore.

As I wrote in my blog, I tried to get my most beloved stories in those "promotion groups", as some call them. FMTM was what broke the ice for me, andit continues to be read. Apparently, I was told it was one of the stories on the community that took the gender bending idea aloft (I'm still skeptical about that.).

The main character was called a mary-sue. I asked a few old fans just to be certain, because I hate mary-sues, and they assured me that Derry evolves properly from point to point in the series and the environnement reacts properly to someone in distress.

cdn3.whatculture.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/house-gif.gif

Well, as long as people still like it, I don't mind. Anyways, maybe "no longer welcome" is rather strong a hypothesis.
