In other news, I had about four hours of sleep. I finally burned out after midnight and I was awake before four am. Every four or five seconds my leg, just below the knee, recreates the type five tibia plateau fracture that shattered and internally severed my leg. Every four or five seconds I can feel my leg exploding, again and again. Several inches of bone turned to powder in an instant. As I woke up, I realised that this is all I have to look forward to for the rest of my life. Feeling that. I laughed, perhaps a little bit maniacally, and hugged my beagle, who was really pissed off that I woke her from her beauty rest.
After having only four hours of sleep over a fifty hour period.
I feel great lemme tell you. Never felt better. The good news is, I am starting to see weird shit in the corners of my vision. Wait, that's good news? Well, yeah, having the The Fear worked for Dr. Thompson. Uh, Uncle Duke killed himself. Well, yeah, yeah he did, but he wrote awesome things while having The Fear.

I just don't give up. They told me I would never walk again.
I am. Sort of. I was too stubborn to quit. Each step is agonising, but it is better than being in a wheelchair.

Yeah. Cold and damp makes the cheap metal swell up. I can feel the threads in the screws pulling and popping against the bone.
They used steel, rather than something a bit better like titanium.
