It Begins...

So... it's finally happened - I've ended up writing an MLP fanfic. I didn't think it was possible when I first started watching the show over a year ago, and I didn't even read FIMfiction until a few months ago, but it's here, it's finally here.

Also, it's a HIE, so there's no doubt I'm going to literary hell for this, but eh, what'cha gonna do?

The Human's Guide to Equestria is the first of a series I'm trying to write that ignores the whole 'love and tolerate,' slice of life, romance, FOCUSED nature of most HIE fics. The human is generic, yes, but he's the result of what happens when you throw a species known for its early wanderlust into a strange world and then give him the choice to explore it or stay in a, albeit quite insane, town where the most expected of anyone is not to introduce Pinkie Pie to energy drinks or forget to return a book to the library lest they gain the wrath of the Twilight Librarian.

The human is not a hero, wasn't brought to Equestria for a greater purpose, and isn't going to become the focus of all that live. He's an oddity, and if there's one thing that Equestria is known for, it's housing all kinds of oddities. He is not all that special - aside from being the only of his kind there. He will not move mountains, unheave the very nature of the nation, or even cause everlasting change...maybe.

In any case, enjoy the new batch of crazies I unleashed. Make comments, flame, whatever. Just enjoy yourselves.
