Might as well talk about Chapter 5 · 5:49pm Apr 25th, 2014
I said it at the end of the chapter and I'll say it again here. Huge props to Dumbgamer99 for prereading and making this chapter work. I'm not sure what happened, but this chapter just didn't come together as smoothly as the previous 4 did. Usually I have most of the chapter written out by Wednesday, and I spend Thursday doing polish and getting it looked at by my lovely prereaders. This week, I was only half done writing the chapter Thursday morning. Hopefully the lack of polish time isn't too obvious, but this is a rather slow chapter anyway.
I'm going to redouble my efforts for Chapter 6 as it has a bit of importance for the plot. Just a tiny bit. Only a smidgen.

P.S. Did you know that spell check turns smidge into smidgen for you? Cause I didn't until just now.
I personally enjoyed it (as I have all of the chapters thus far) and liked the interaction between Twilight and Spike.
That being said, I didn't find the decision to have Twilight join Celestia at court sufficiently discussed/explained in story given that many ponies, regardless of whether they are supposed to, will try to talk to and question Twilight at a public meeting.

Oh I'm fully expecting some exposition by ponies less... "selective" with their topics. Was just giving some constructive feedback on things that made me tilt my head while reading.
