I know how to write my way out of it...thankfully. I could have even continued it the way it currently is...but it'd take a few characters into the Out Of Character category...which is a big no-no...
The fix is relatively simple...but this month has been anything but simple for me...

Being able to write out of it, I mean. But yes, OOCs are a definite no-no, no matter what gets written. I'm glad you're woring to keep everypony in character.
Yeah, I understand the insimplicity that is life sometimes. I'm in a rut myself at the moment, y'know, college, work, all that shiz. It keeps me from writing what I want out there, unfortunately. Hopefully things get a bit simpler on your end.

Well the main hurdle so far is taken care of, now I need to figure out the next one...shouldn't take too long...if this goes the way I want it to this is going to be a long chapter. And give the story something the Equestria Daily Pre-Readers sunk it for (besides regular writing screwups...which I know I have...), a plot.

Take your time bro, and write with quality and effort. I love Max Payne; I hate to see him sad all the time and now that he's in Equestria, maybe he can finally enjoy himself.
Well, I will say that the title is called Payne-full Realization for a very good reason. Those of you who have or are playing the most recent Max Payne game should be able to figure out where in the storyline this is taking place.
Well that's good that it's taken care of.

I doubt the Equestria Daily Pre-Readers know much about Max Payne and how good the plot is altogether, but that's just my interpretation. Shame though.

I figured I'll give EQD another shot when the story is finished or at least when the plot is visible without explanations...
Oh and after I find someone to be a proof-reader...apparently my writing isn't as awesome as I originally thought.

Yeah, I definitely feel you on that one, bruh. I was frustrated for a short while as a result because of my own unpolished skills, but that's where practice comes in. Your first chapter was very attractive though, so there's something to build upon. As I said, take your time and work towards a quality chapter. I will be looking out

They may feel inclined to look up Max Payne, but it's a pretty well-known game series. Not so sure about Max Payne 2, but the original game was very popular. Though, Max Payne 2 brought out more of Max's transformation into a introverted guy with no sense of "fun" in him, with a darker sense of humor, so there's that.
