    Author update!

I'm editing stuff! But also incredibly dried out of writing power atm. I'll get going again soon, but just bear with me for a bit. I'm publishing a chapter of XCOM today, then start on the daily writing (not publishing) again tomorrow morning. In the meantime, always remember:

    Remembering Koji Wada

Like every year, I like to remember the man/legend responsible for the theme songs of one of my favorite shows of all time on the anniversary of his death.

So if you were wondering about the timing for the latest Isekai chapters? There you go.

    Welp, here's a life update

These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.

    Welp, another year older and...

...still writing ponies. (Among other things, granted.)

Update to the Isekai coming tonight! And some additional details and change of plans.

First, to everyone waiting patiently for the next Isekai chapter, I apologize for the delay. I know there are a lot of people that want to see another visit to Hell happen soon, and it will, I promise. However, due to some circumstances, I decided for a different pair of visitors to visit the bar this week.

There was this time that a guy walked into Best Buy with a Wonderbolt's Logo T-shirt...

And when I mentioned it, he said I was the first person to even notice it.

Another time, I met a coworker at a training session who had one of those bands that was black letters on black rubber, proudly (if somewhat inconspicuously) declaring him a brony.

I myself wore my three-diamond Rarity cutie mark pin which looks awesome all the time, although no-one ever clued in.

And just now, I looked out the window and lo and behold, a couple of neighbors washing their car and she's wearing a Pinkie Pie hoodie.

How often does this randomly happen to you?

I got a few kids at school who wear brony stuff, but they're fucking weird ass kids... oh shit.

Never.

I never go outside, so that's a nice and neat zero times this has happened to me.

Walmart, late at night, like, 11:30pm.

See a guy with a Luna T-Shirt, I say "For the NLR." His eyes widen and he runs to the biggest black dude I've ever seen and whispers to him hurriedly.

Next thing I hear is the black guy throwing a fist up in the air and yelling "YES!"

Best night ever.

Hmm. I ran into a brony two years ago when at a candy store. He noticed my shirt and we bro-hoofed. It was neat and only slightly awkward in a public setting like that. It's a shame I haven't seen any others around through random chance.

Sadly, never. Unless you count me doing it.

Every now and again. Latest was a young couple, him with a fairly bog-standard RD t-shirt, and her with a Derpy shoulderbag, about a week or so ago.

Probably the best one was where, during a 72-hours no sleep livestream for charity, my University gaming club discovered about eight or nine of the members were bronies at once, when someone forgot to put headphones on with their phone.

Not too many times, for me.

Back in 2012, I worked in a gas station, and one day a guy came in wearing a shirt with the Cutie Mark Crusaders on it. Like a doofus, I didn't say anything.

Another time, I saw a car with a sticker (magnet?) of Rainbow Dash's cutie mark on it.

Then I saw a girl wearing a Rainbow Dash hoodie once when in my city's downtown area.

Only once have I had someone comment on an article of pony clothing that I was wearing: a cashier at a Taco Bell. It was a Lyra shirt and she said, "Niiiiice" (not sarcastically, which was cool).

I think the only thing I've ever seen was a car I once passed when I was out just walking. It had a Pinkie Pie "shader" thing in one of the windows.

...You know, those things you stick to the window to keep the sun out?

I met Travis Allen (#1 Elvis Impersonator in the world) And he shook my hand and said he liked my 'brony tee shirt'. We then had a five minute conversation about ponies. That made my day.

I dont think there are any other bronies where I live except me, so I have never had that happen to me.

I was at Knotts Berry Farm one time. I wasn't thrilled, because I dislike roller coasters, sorry. But I had do, it was a Physics Field Trip. One of my assignments requires riding on one and my teacher is apathetic to the kids who didn't like roller coasters.

So there I was, all unhappy and stuff...until I saw a teen with a "Keep Calm and Brony On" shirt. I stopped walking and gave him a bro-hoof, which he gradually accepted.

My day there later turned out to be good. Coindence?

It happened to me twice just yesterday. First I saw a girl I didn't know with a pony shirt on, and not two hours later I saw Rainbow Dash chilling on my friend's desktop. :derpyderp1:

Excluding my basement, I don't think the places I hang out at suit the brony demographic.

Also I live in a French-speaking province, so cartoons like MLP rarely seep in.

So that's a never for me.

Happens occasionally. Latest one was about a week ago. At a fro-yo shop. No pone merc on, but I do have my G&PT wallet. Pull it out to pay, and cashier says "Really..." Of course, I think he's talking about pones in general, but then he follows with "not Purple Smart? I shiggy diggy." I was amazed enough to not say anything, just smile. But I wasn't amazed enough to not slap the shit out of him. He hit the floor and I stood over him. I bent down and whispered in his ear, "Don't start shit you can't finish." I walked out , but I lost that battle, because I forgot my fro-yo.

Can't say I have had that happen to me much. The first time was before I was even a proper brony. It was about 15 months ago, back when I used to only listen to the music and shy away from looking at the show because I thought it was like those horrific baby-pony things they did at the end of gen3. I still shudder when I think about those creepy things.
Anyways, he had a pony-wallpaper on his desktop. It was one of the deciding factors for me giving the show a try. :ajsmug:
The second time was just a group of 2 or 3 people with pony shirts.
The last time was when I overheard a snippet of conversation involving a pony-reference.

Saw a girl with pinkie pie hoodie on the sidewalk while I was driving one day, they are out there. >_>

There's a guy with Luna and Discord sticker thingies on his Laptop

There's a girl on the bus I saw wearing RD headphones.
Saw an RD satchel once too.
Then again, I live in Vancouver, so it could have been for the rainbows, not the ponies.

One time, in class... I saw a dude with a Rainbow Dash laptop. It kicked ass.

I saw a girl of about fifteen walking to school with a Rainbow Dash bag once, that was the only time.

Absolutely never :fluttershysad:. It’s weird though. It’s not like I live in an out of the way place.

I guess you could count when I went to the first ever meetup in my home city? Although that's not exactly random (plus I'd rather just forget that the damn thing ever happened, but that's a story for another day). So maybe one day. I can hope

I met one who wasn't wearing anything who goes to the same school as me. While in an airport, I saw a guy with a 20% Cooler T-Shirt. That's about it.

I'm usually the guy wearing the pony merch out and about so I have more stories about people seeing me than the other way around. I hit Universal Studios wearing a pony shirt and then this happened:
s6.postimg.org/m2f7blq8x/1383268_10100915129594912_1168683679_n.jpg

never... except maybe this one random person whose me i encountered on my 3DS Streetpass thingy. Said Rainbow Dash FTW as his introduction speech bubble

I don't think I've ever noticed anyone outside of school, but I once had my Derpy t-shirt recognized at gamestop, and met this dude at the mall when I went to see Equestria Girls (We were both looking at the directory and noticed each other simultaneously. It was pretty cool.)

I saw like 3 kids in pony merch while I was Elitch Gardens last year. Otherwise, never.

I had something cool in the spirit of this happen, but it was actually with Pokemon. I went to an indy car race with my dad and while I was playing Pokemon y I randomly found someone else was playing nearby via the streetpass function. Later on, a young lady was leaving and when she walked by and saw me playing, she pulled out her own 3ds and we shared a laugh before she left.

But to answer your actually query, every now and then at my school I will see someone wearing pony merchandise, but its college so not really a shock. (My fellow college students can be some of the strangest yet unassuming people)

My substitute teacher in one of my classes recently overheard me and a friend discussing MLP and she joined in the conversation.

It was odd but cool, 'cause she was like 40.

I saw a girl wearing a Lyra shirt once. It was at the Equestria Girls movie though...:derpytongue2:

I was driving around downtown Minneapolis a while back and saw a guy wearing a brony shirt. I wanted to roll down my window and shout something supportive at him, but I decided he might not hear it properly and assume that I had shouted something derogatory.

Then the light changed and I lost my chance.

Pretty much all of the pony merch I see is in the hands of kids in the target demographic, though I have seen non-decorative license plates with 'MLP' and 'PNN' and a local car with pony stickers on it.

Found out my CO has a Fluttershy laptop, my brother has a three balloon sticker on his guitar, the bus driver this morning was wearing a wonderbolts wristband, and my RSO was in possession of a Dr. Whooves pocketwach.

Who knew.

In real life, never. Where I live I'm not aware of any officially sold pony merchandise targeted at adults, and MLP doesn't seem to be big enough here for non-official adult merchandise to exist; plus, import taxes here are about 100% total, must be paid over the product's price plus shipping, and shipping something from the US to here is more expensive than shipping to Australia.

The closest thing for me was when, in the official forums of a game I play, in a silly thread that had devolved into posting cat images, a developer with a "CloudChaser" nick posted a Twilight Sparkle image. And by the reaction a few of the persons posting there (besides the two or so with pony avatars) were bronies.

As I live in Iceland, and merch availability is basically limited to "sometimes occasionally" ... never :fluttershysad:

I meet a guy who worked at Zion national park who noticed my pony shirt.

Met one of my current friends when he was wearing a Doctor Whooves shirt.
Unfortunately, he left the fandom because he didn't want to deal with all their shit.
I mentioned that season four was actually pretty good.
:ajbemused:
He don't care no more.

mrk

Went to the Pokemon XY launch wearing my 'this shirt is 20% cooler' shirt, frankly because it's the most colorful shirt I have, despite being the wrong fandom. One guy stopped me on the way and demanded a brohoof. The guy who sold me the game was wearing a fluttershy lanyard.

There is a white mazda with a 2ft. decal of rainbow dash around my town, I only see it at night tho

Sadly, I believe I am among maybe a few folks up here in the north of New Brunswick that's affiliated in any form to the fandom. Aside from my cousin, his friends and a few folks a St. Thomas University in Fredericton that my sister knows. I've yet to encounter a fellow Brony that I don't know locally.

So... any folks here near the City of Miramichi?

Most people I see have the really awkward shirts on, so I tend to avoid them. Although any other people I see I will drop a reference for.

2023158 Right. 'Cause everyone over forty, especially women, should have the good taste to be dead by now and shouldn't have the nerve to like something you like and say something about it. She probably knows about MLP because she has children.

YEESH.

Luckily at least one student at my university doesn't share this attitude. I was crossing campus in my Grande et Merveilleuse Trixie shirt, because the mortician said it was ok for me to be out that day, and some guy came running at me, crying "BROHOOF!"

I said, "what?"

He said, "um. Oh. The shirt."

I'd kind of forgotten it was on. It's a nice shirt. I wear it all the time.

The advantage of being so old is that we just don't give a crap about what other people think anymore.

I've had a few people walk into the bakery I work at up in Seattle wearing Pony stuff, but not many. Two of my three coworkers, however, are Pegasisters, but don't view themselves as such, since they're girls who like the show, and feel as if that's just basically natural.

I drive a schoolbus, so I see merch fairly frequently.
But that doesn't really count.

I am planning on getting a sky blue Mazda Miata, putting a Chevy V8 in it, some RD cutie mark decals on it, and a vanity plate saying something like R4INB00M.:rainbowdetermined2:

But that doesn't really count either.

I have seen some, but no details stick in my mind.

This has happened to me all of once; one guy in my Music Theory class had a Rainbow Dash wallet

2023754

Whoa dude. No need to go off on a tangent. It was odd as I wasn't expecting a teacher (much less a sub whom I didn't know and had never seen at the school before), not because she was a 40 year old woman or any other reason. I just wasn't expecting her to know anything about it (she named all the characters, etc) I never specified how she knew about the show (her daughter watches it).

None. MLP isn't a 'thing' yet in our country :ajsleepy:

Once. Saw some dude walk past with RD's cutie mark on his hat.

Other than that, I pretty much never meet other MLP fans IRL. Then again, there's not a lot of merch to be found in Norway, or at least not in my area. :unsuresweetie:
