Lets see...looking over stories I have done and need to do...need to finish the final chapter of Slow to Realize...hate everything I have written so far. Working on next chapter of Rider...so brutal...Bad_Seed_72 is doing the next chapter of MacDash Wedding, Auction is going well....FU Google Docs for deleting the stuff I did the first time around, You Got Ma Sister What has almost 600 likes, Dash Can't Cook is...wait...what?!
Just noticed that You Got Ma Sister What has almost 600 likes! That is pretty freeken awesome! Thank you all so much for that! That was the third story I have ever wrote here and it was a featured story for almost two weeks. That is something I thought would never happen. I mean, Ponyville Bachelor Auction was featured for a day...before every other top writer here posted a story and Jake and I lost that...but that is besides the point. You Got Ma Sister What was really a big accomplishment for me for it was before I started to do more collaboration and really was just bouncing ideas off of KarmaDash and jszellmer and having jszellmer edit it.
Looking back now, I still find it funny myself because I a lot of the jokes in there are things I have always found funny, but at the same time there are some huge plot holes, or points I didn't really explain so well. I am going to try to explain some of the stuff in this blog, and feel free to ask questions as well after reading it. I doubt i will get everything so please ask away. I am also going to try to explain parts I found funny. Lets get started with the part everyone seems to have a problem with.
1. Why does Mac want to kill Soarin? Okay...I really thought this was obvious but it only seem to get through to some people, others just didn't question it, or people found me to be a sexist bastard. I thought with the first two lines of showing how angry was would let people know Mac was not in his right state of mind. Have any of you felt this kind of rage before? I have, and really you are not thinking straight nor do you hear a lot of things. Thus is why Mac didn't hear Applejack say Soarin was going to take full responsibility.
Really, for the sake of the plot and the joke I was going for I needed Mac to chase down Soarin, and just be a very angry bastard. Yes, it's the overprotective brother thing, and yes I know it's old, and yes I know this is a fandom that preaches girl power...like so many other shows today...and movies...and a lot of other things...can't the guy be the hero once in awhile? Anyway, could have I done a better job? Ya...I could have, I could have explained it a lot better and made it seem more practical. Then again, I am a psychotic bastard with a God-Complex! What do you people expect from me?! I blame half the worlds problem on Communist and the other half on Nazis! And is there a blog post that i haven't mentioned murder yet? Dear Thor above I am crazy!
2. Why is Mac mad with Soarin anyway? He said he could date his sister, shouldn't he have known this could happen?: Right...because the first thing somepony like Mac is going to think 'They are going to go at it all night long'. What?! No! Mac has country/old time values. Sex should be after marriage, that it should be reserved for that. Really? Is that so hard to understand? Mac is kind of the father figure, and no father likes the idea of their daughter having sex, it's kind of a personal thing. It's hard to explain...it just is!
3. Were Pinkie Pie and Caramel having sex in public?: Um...yes. Basically they were getting to that part but some random police ponies stopped them...they didn't like clop.
4. How is it Soarin's fault that Mac missed his date with Rainbow Dash?: The key-bored needs a sarcasm key...it's Mac fault for missing his date, yes, it is. However, Mac still wanted to hit Soarin for getting his sister pregnant.
5. Applejack is a responsible mare, why can't Mac let her make her own decisions you sexist bastard?: Again...I was going for the overprotective brother thing. Many people have hatted me for this, and really I don't care. I am a younger brother that is still protective of my older sister. It's a brother thing I guess or chivalry thing. Guys have always been told to protect girls from shows, movies, comics, etc. and it is kind of built into us. We always see the hero saving the damsel in distress and that damsel could be our sister. I found out my junior year of high school that someone hit my sister. What did I do? I drove four hours to my sister's college to find the son of a bitch, and when I did, I got into a fight with him. It was my sister's now husband who pulled me off the guy and let me spend the night at his place and did not tell my sister of the incident till they were married...I am still getting hell for that. Brothers like to protect their sister, unless it's a shitty brother.
Now there are probably more questions out there, so feel free to ask. I will try to explain everything away. I am actually thinking of re-writing it a bit and adding it as a second chapter. Maybe to stop all the hatters from hatting too much. Eh. Trying to get it featured again...I am a egotistical bastard. To stop the damn PM's about what a horrible person I am? Nope. I get those all the time.
Now like all my other writing, I have not set time. I am working on a lot of stuff, college, work, and future related. I will update soon, but don't expect soon as real soon...but it will happen...maybe?
