Ok, random blog post, first one ever, not sure what to say, even less sure anyone will read it.
But what the hell =D
First off, I'm BORED! The past few days were a blessing and a curse, for I have found a hidden talent: Editing and Post-production of videos. That's all good, but it meant one big problem:
My classmates came crashing down on me with questions, requests and pleads. That's what happens when you are the best in your class on that specific subject and there's a project due tomorrow.
Which brings me to WHY Violet Fire has been a bit left aside. I am writing the second chapter, but this whole project has taken all of my time for the past 7 days. Seriously, I've been locked up in a room helping everybody with their project and doing mine. Overall I helped about 7 or 8 classmates, 3 guys from a completely different class, 3 guys from a completely different COURSE, 4 random chicks and a spanish guy who couldn't speak my language for the life of him.
Good news is, I think it's ready, just going through editing.
Bad news is, it's big. Half the chapter was 5000 words alone and I still had a lot of stuff to go. So I'm considering the idea of breaking chapter 2 in half, making the 1st half chapter 2 and the 2nd half chapter 3. Which means I should get 2 chapters out quite fast, if everything goes smoothly =)
And I'm still not sure anybody read this, but it was fun to write something like this.
Ps.: Add 1 random guy to the helping list xD
EDIT: Just found this picture of Spike, I HAD to put it here!
It's good to write to relieve your stress. I've had trouble before similar to your editing one before too and it can really be an annoyance, but try to not let it get to you. I like it idea of breaking the next part up too, since not everyone has time to sit down and read a 10k. Smaller chapters offer readers a break and a chance to refresh themselves. Nobody likes to feel like they're trudging on through an especially long chapter in any book, after all.
