XFT's Lero Vs. The XFT Swap · 9:26pm Apr 13th, 2014
Something I got to come out and admit.
After collaborating with Quiet Man for over two months on Xenophoolia, there's now a soft spot in my heart for XFT-Lero. Boy, did I have fun putting him all I put him through. His Swap and my Lero's swap are definitely horses of a different color, but I feel a stronger emotional investment in his story now.
There's also a soft spot for Rare Deluge, Earth Pony Lyra, and Unicorn Derpy. I want to meet all the Swapped Ponies I haven't met yet: I'd like to see Diamondjack and Pink Lady Apple, see who's holding the former Vinyl Scratch's DJ job, where the real Derpy Hooves hangs out nowadays and how Lero's going to handle himself against twice as many Swapped Ponies as my own story has.
Well, Quiet Man's released the first part of that saga, and so far, so good.
Already did and the new chapter was amazing. I wasn't super invested when the first swapped ch came out, the one from EP Lyra's perspective. I felt like the swap was going to be totally mishandled. There was already a great swapped tale and I was worried Quiet Man was trying to be 'too' different to distance his story from DIvided Rainbow. But After THAT crossover I was sold. And now I am looking forward to XFT swapped stories as much as any of the other half finished arcs it has in the works, if not more!
Read it, and it was a fun chapter. I haven't had time yet to read all of the chapters (wow, there's a LOT) but it's on my radar.
This is one of the things I love about fanfiction. Writers take the same basic concept and go off in such radically different directions, and they're all great.

It certainly is a wild ride.
It is fantastic, though part of me can't help but feel that it should be spun off into its own story. Though that raises the question of how to phrase the description to avoid spoilers...
Really, I'm just tired of comments by people who apparently have never heard of reading comprehension. But that's the audience's problem, not the author's. And more than that, it's mine.
(But come on, people! Context clues! Actually read the fing words!)
Breathe, Fan. They're not harming anyone, so long as you don't go banging your head against the wall.
Sorry. Guess it's kind of a pet peeve.
