The End of A New Kind of Party

It's finally here, the end of the TwiPie story, A New Kind of Party. It's been a long time, with lots of space and delays between some of the chapters.

The End of A 'Not So Simple' Simple Life

At long last, Simple Life has come to an end. It's been many years now and it's rather long. The couple certainly have come a long way, and have finally made progress. But this wasn't the original plan.

    Changes to "One Winter's Day"

So, as some pointed out about my story, One Winter's Day, it wasn't exactly 'done'. The story had mostly a beginning and sort of end, and not much of a middle.

I hadn't wanted it to be very long, afraid I would make it super long. Guess I made it too short instead. So now, I've added more and hopefully it feels better for everyone else too.

    Enjoy the holidays folks!

A New Kind of Party Seperating from Show Cannon

Meant to post this at the same time as the last New Kind of Party update, but this would be roughly where the story is definitely separating from the main cannon. It will deal with some of the episodes coming up (especially the ones I pointed out in one of my previous blogs) but this

    The Legend of the Everfree

How funny that a couple of months after I return from a summer long sleepaway camp in the woods on the mountains, my little pony comes out with their latest movie based on a camp. :rainbowlaugh:

Rarity and her coat color · 3:00pm Apr 13th, 2014

I've read a few comments (as well as comments from editors during the editing/reviewing process) on some of my stories about coloring of Rarity and Sweetie Belle (though it is mostly on A 'not so simple' simple life, hence why that is the story tagged) and I've read on other stories similar comments about their colors; so please don't feel as though I am singling out anyone, I'm just stating my mind and my findings (blogs are meant for personal ramblings, are they not? :pinkiehappy:)

Their coat colors are pale or light gray, and I have video clip evidence. Well, it's a picture, but it shows everything.

THIS HAS BEEN EDITED! PLEASE CHECK BELOW FOR FURTHER EVIDENCE. Thank you.

As you can see, I have the MLP:FIM videos on my computer and this particular episode is of season 1, episode 16 Sonic Rainboom; this is the proper and high definition version, so I didn't change the colors or edit anything. In fact, I left my desk top view on the image just to prove that I took a screen shot and zoomed in on Rarity's body and face to prove my point.

Rarity is floating around, being praised for her wings as they tour the weather factory. Notice how their lab coats are more white than Rarity is. Don't believe me? Look at the next part of the picture. She is a pale or light gray, however you want to say it. Still not convinced? Take a look at ponies' eyes. They have the whites of their eyes as, well, white, and then there's the pupil. Rarity's coat color is different than the pure white of the eye. Also, the background that these pictures are on? Yeah, that's white. She doesn't blend into the background or anything like that. She is NOT white, pristine white, alabaster white or any other kind of white. She is a type of gray.

This is on my deviantart page too, in case you want to see it there.

Now why would the toys then show her as white if she is not? That's because it's easier to sell a white unicorn than an off white one. Who'd want some dingy looking unicorn instead of a pristine white one? Also, as the greatest example of selling product being different than in the show, find all the cameo appearances of DJ Pon-3. She is not white either, and in Equestria Girls it's the clearest. She is a pale/extremely pale yellow (maybe even just a pale cream) but her toys are white. Now, I know that I've written in Perfect Pitch that she is white (and SPOILER that her mom is the pale yellow one)(Edit: Since this last part of Vinyl's mom's colors I'll restate: Her mom (in my story Perfect Pitch) is a pale-yellow unicorn, instead of having Vinyl be that color). I'm half tempted to go back and change it just to be show-canon correct in order to present a better case of Rarity's colors.

Either way, in the show, Rarity is NOT white and neither is her sister. Thank you and have a nice day.

Again, this is just to rant, vent and rage about how most call Rarity white and then go after the few stories that have her as a different color. And I'm not pointing fingers or hooves at anyone, I'm just stating.

HERE IS THE LATEST EVIDENCE:

Here is the two of them together in A Canterlot Wedding, part 1. It is day time, no shadows on them. But they are a little far apart, let's cut them out and put them closer together.

Well, they are closer together and you can see there is a difference. But it's hard to reeeeaaalllly see, with all those other colors and things. Let's slice them out.

Now this is a little easier. There is a difference between their fur AND the white of the background. So neither of these ponies are 'white'. They are just easier to sell if they are 'white' when they are toys. But let's put the final nail in that coffin, ya? Here are just their fur colors, taken from this picture and put against white.

THEY ARE NOT WHITE. If, in your mind or cannon, they are white, that's fine. Some still like Vinyl's eyes to be red. Some prefer Rarity's fur to be white. But they are not. Not in the show's cannon.

Thank you and have a nice day.

This is just like all the 'vinyl's eye colour arguments'. there's no reason for people to argue over it.

Lol, this made me laugh. Especially considering I helped cause it and you were like.

"Hey stupid, shes grey!" :derpytongue2:

You win, she is indeed grey! Congrats sir on making me go back and change all of my rarity vector's ever! :pinkiehappy:

<(Bronco)>

2007119 Indeed, this is partially your fault (but I didn't want to make it seem like all your fault, cause it's not, just the last straw kind of thing). I did see other people commenting on it on other stories and only one story I have read has her being pale gray (aside from my story) and felt the need to correct it. :pinkiehappy:

2006709 As for Vinyl's eyes, I copped out in my story. I said they flashed/seemed red when she's angry or strong emotion but yeah, it's the same color as Rainbow Dash's. Which is why in the next Vinyl and Tavi story I'll eventually do I'll have everyone not freak out about her eyes. Luckily I haven't seen too many fighting about that as much as it had seemed to be in the past.

2008247 what's this about the 'next vinyl and tavia' story? You wouldn't be revealing things before they're ready, are you?

2008532 Not really. I've been saying I want to do another TaviScratch story for almost a year now, almost as soon as Perfect Pitch was finished. :ajsmug::pinkiehappy:

So we are sticking with this coloration correct? No changes. Grey-white and alabaster.
Just making sure of what we're sticking to.

-GWG-

2017665 right, gray-white, light-gray, pale-gray and sometimes alabaster.
