If Spectrum didn't die in Foal (Assuming Rainbow Dash also survived), he would joined his big sister down on the ground in a desire to know more about it. He would have been the Fourth Crusader for the CMC, but have a rivalry with Scootaloo for Dash's love as a "sibling" and later on two would have had crushes on each other. Applejack and Rainbow Dash would get married and adopt children with no problems. Spectrum would have gotten his cutie mark in speed and joined RD in the Wonderbolts.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders would break up. Scootaloo and Apple Bloom would spend years friendless while Sweetie Belle, unable to take it, would find new friends in the forum of Dinky and Pipsqueak and start a new crusaders. Eventually, they would make up over time but would never be as close as they once were.

The only change would be the setting. They'd go to Manehatten where AJ uses her Aunt and Uncles connection to help Dash have a good date. But instead of seeing Bucky Cash they go to a Rave and have their picnic in Central Park before heading up to a hotel they rented for a night and have some "bow chicka bow wow".

If she was never assassinated at all, Twilight's vision for Equestria would have come much earlier. All races would be free and have equal rights, class and status wouldn't determine what your standing is in society, your free to choose what career you want and not by what your cutie mark states, and finally she would, with the princesses permission, end the monarchy and establish a democracy.
If the assassination had failed: there would be a long purging of the nobility, but not in the forum of killing. All their status and assets would be taken from those the princesses declare corrupt (Which is a lot of them) which would result in a rebellion from the nobles leading to bloodshed. It would last for three years before the nobles surrendered and Twilight puts aside her vision for a generation to help heal equestria before continuing it. Blueblood would still be executed, but it would be a quick death like hanging.

Spectrum would blame himself for his sister's death, but not his parents. His eventually runs away and stays at Fluttershy's place because his father is drinking himself and his mother just sits around in a void like state. Without Rainbow Dash, nightmare moon kills Twilight and her remianing friends who went with her, including Fluttershy, before ending Princess Celestia's life as well. She would rule Equestria while Spectrum and CMC forum a rebellion group. After many years of fighting, he, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Spike, Sweetie Belle, and an OC would call upon the elements of harmony and destroy nightmare moon forever. However, there is nopony left to raise the sun and moon so the elements turn Spectrum into an alicorn and make him the new leader of Equestria.

If Night Light's heart couldn't help, he would have spent every last moment with Twilight while she and him slowly fix the wounds between their family. After she died and was buried, Night Light would take his own life.

Luna would have been placed in charge and while she tries her best, it's not enough to make Twilight's dream become a full reality. The nobles would try to revolt, leading to a ten year purge of them, and Celestia wouldn't return till 300 years later where Luna would be angry at her for leaving her people like this, as well as Equestria itself would be angry at her. Celestia would be forced, and of her own free will, to resign her position before retreating again in solitude to live out another 400 years alone before death takes her
I have to say, her forms were certainly radical, though a couple things confuse me:
* "All races would be free and have equal rights," That seems to imply that some races were as much as enslaved -- like the cows or something?
*"finally she would, with the princesses permission, end the monarchy and establish a democracy" My problem with that is mainly how radical that is and how I'm not sure how easy I can imagine Twilight wanting to dismantle the monarchy she has respected and is a part of. I mean, after all, a monarchy and democracy aren't absolutely incompatible. It could've easily worked out as a constitutional monarchy like we have here in Britain or Jordan (which is a bit more of an executive monarchy), where the Princess' powers are limited by a constitution which transfers most power to the ponies and elective officials).
And, moving onto the second scenario, three years? Wow, I'd've thought that with her power, Celestia could've wiped them and their excuses for forces out with a mere flick of a horn. Though for a war to break out, it does suggest these utterly reviled aristocrats do have some significant support.
It does struck me though, the utter contempt for the nobility in mlp fanfiction. I mean, don't get me wrong; they were never meant to be most likable of guys in the show and history doesn't help, but surely there must be more than just a handful of nobles who want to emulate the Princess' examples.
Anyway, there's just one more little question, not really a 'what if', but maybe you could reply through PM: you mentioned in the Cheerilee chapter about a peace process going between Equestria and the Changeling Kingdom now that Chrysalis has been taken down offscreen. I'm Really interested in this, not just because I'm a changeling fan but also because it just sounds like a great subplot that could be explored, particularly with what exactly happened to Chrysalis and how this peace process has been affected by Twilight's involvement and her death. After all, the Changeling Kingdom is, or rather was, to Equestria what the Empire of Japan was to the USA in the twentieth century (though that's also because I base their culture on Japan in my fics, but that's a completely different matter)

She learns from AJ about Diamond Tiara's past and such and feels saddened that things were ruined between them because of what happened (Although she wouldn't know everything). In a sense, she would forgive Diamond Tiara for what happened, but wouldn't be in this guilt trip that she was going through righ tnow

I would have made it a focus on his funeral with all his friends, during the course of the service, remembering a fun or silly time they had of him before they say their final goodbyes when he is buried. A year later they all go, carrying joytoys, to the grave and play games there in his honor.
What if Scootaloo forgave Apple Bloom for breaking her scooter after the talk she had with her mother in chapter 3 of "A Broken Bond?"
