    One Year

It's hard to believe it's been a year since my dad died. Sometimes it feels like a decade ago, sometimes it feels like it was just last week.

Eris's April Takeover, Part 3 · 9:55pm Apr 7th, 2014

Elijah let out a long sigh. He'd gotten several strange looks as he walked around Beacon Academy, dragging his laundry basket behind him. It may have had something to do with the fact that he still hadn't changed out of his pajamas. He didn't care. He was going to wear his Rainbow Dash sweatpants if he wanted to, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop him.

When I find the one responsible for this, I am NOT going to be happy. Not happy at all.

"Hey..." He tapped a girl on the shoulder of her uniform.

"Yes? Can I..." she seemed to stumble over her words at the sight of him, but quickly recovered, " Can I help you?"

"I'm looking for the third-year students' dorms."

"They're... that way..." She pointed down the hall. "Take the third door to your left, and the second on the right."

"Thanks." Without thinking much of it, he flipped a coin up into the air, allowing it to land in her hands as he walked away, dragging the basket with one hand.

Surprised and curious, she examined the coin. It was thick, heavy, and appeared to be made of gold. But, of course, that was ridiculous. Turning it over, on one side was a fine inscription of the sun and moon together, and on the other were the words "ONE BIT."

"That... was weird..." She muttered, shrugging as she stashed the coin in her pocket.

After some substantial time walking, he finally reached the dorm that he had been looking for. With a tired sigh, he knocked on the door.

The things I go through because of my characters... It's enough to make me scream.

"I'll get it!" A female voice sung from the inside. The door swung open inwardly, revealing a tall young woman. In true RWBY fashion, she was a faunus, with two fox ears and a long, fluffy tail poking out from behind her. Her hair was a faded shade of pink, and she wore a white jacket with armored shoulders over a deep maroon blouse, leading down to a darkly shaded pink skirt. Her legs bore two armored shin braces, and what seemed to be a large, bladed whip was looped at her waist.

"Can I... help you?" Her reaction was almost equivalent to the previous girl's, though she seemed to recover from the initial shock well enough not to interrupt her sentence.

"I need to talk to Drake Utterson. Is he home?"

"Drake! One of your friends is here to see you!" She turned back towards the inside of the room as she shouted, before stepping aside to let him inside. "You look tired, would you like to come in?"

There was a brief pause as Elijah considered the offer before shrugging and shaking his head. "I really need to get going as soon as possible. This laundry isn't going to do itself."

"Oh, come on! Your laundry isn't going anywhere! You look like you haven't had a good night's sleep in a whole week!" Before he could react, Elijah was being grabbed by the hand and pulled into the room.

Eris had to admit, she was stumped. She had been sitting and staring at the computer screen for hours, trying to devise something horrible and demonic to kill Pennington with, but somehow, every time she started writing, she would stop again, unsure of the words. No matter how hard she tried, she kept running across the same problem: it wasn't dynamic. She thrived on seeing the reactions, the horror of others, as she ripped them apart. She didn't know how to write it, since she had never been afraid or in pain, herself. She was far too powerful to be challenged like that.

All that she could seem to write were her own parts of the story, and what she would do in the situation. But trying to convincingly write the parts of every single pony involved was simply too much. She couldn't manage to do it convincingly enough, even for herself to read.

I can't believe that THIS is what is stopping me from having everything I've ever wanted! I'm a GODDESS, for chaos's sake! I conquered Canterlot! Captured Celestia and Luna with ease! I slayed the last of the draconequui and ground other gods to dust as if it were nothing! HOW IS IT THAT I CAN'T DO THIS SIMPLE THING?

"Maybe if I focus on just myself and one other pony in a scene..." She muttered, barely containing her rage for the sake of continuing to appear human.

"I'm the ultimate force of evil in the universe, I'm not going to let myself be stopped by something as simple as writer's block!"
