So the freshly minted Princess Twilight will not only get her own kingdom, but the power of at least three other alicorn princesses, probably turning her into some sort of super princess in the process. Can Twilight really go any further than ultimate overlord?
Hey wait, if Twilight gets her own kingdom, does that mean she, as well as the show, is leaving Ponyville as home base? Or will she become the legal sovereign of the Ponyville nation? Or will it come down to some of that moral lesson bullshit like "your kingdom has been within you all along, but now you are truly the master of yourself"?
Oh, wait a tick, I think I see what may happen. Twilight gains great power, and is offered to rule a kingdom like Cadence and the Crystal Empire, or even all of Equestria, possibly even given power of the sun and moon from Celestia and Luna (as part of the general power transfer). But this would mean she would have to leave her friends in Ponyville, since they wouldn't want to leave their home. So Twilight decides to return the other princess' power back to them as well as their leadership so she can remain close to her friends and tell the audience that power doesn't equal happiness.
Although that would still leave the question of the box. I'm not sure I want them to open it. I'm afraid we'll get five new alicorn princesses. If that comes to pass it'll just kill the respect for the princess title that this show gave me in the first place.

I doubt the plan was for her to have the power permanently. Just long enough to defeat the villain. It might not even be a permanent transfer to begin with. Course what ever is in the box is probly the real key to bear the villain.
