A change in journal ponies- a kinder, gentler journal · 1:27pm Apr 3rd, 2014
Ladies and gentleman. I am pleased to inform you that after one too many entries foretelling gloom and doom, and potraying both Ponyland and Equestria, Queen Majesty has decided to revoke this near-daily journal on Equine history from Tornado Firehooves' authorship, and placed the job of writing it with a far less despressing author- namely, me. Gone will be the entries telling of the painful wars and unhappiness little mister negativity was always dumping on you- instead, we will be looking at some of the happier times in both Equestria and Ponyland- the positives of both our new society, and many of the wonderful things that have survived from old Equestria. We'll cover wedding ceremonies, birthday traditions in places like hoofkaido and Fort Rainbow Dash, fun places to visit in Flutter Valley- things like that! ^^ But before I begin adding my own entries from both myself and the archives, there are a few matters I need to clear up;
-We do not hate alicorns, few ponies in ponyland actually do. Tornado just dug up the old letters and opinions of a few bigots from over the years to make his (stupid) point. We horsemasterists see them the way human catholics see thier saints. Nor have we opressed the alicornists at all. (Princess Theodora was one instance, she doesn't count!)
-We do not hate friendship, it just means something diffrent now than it did in the days of Equestria. Gusty, Gingerbread, Shady, and so many others here are all my dearest of friends. Sure ponies like AJ and Cherries may bicker, and Gusty may make fun of Wind Whistler for having no feelings. But while we may have our disagreements, all of the ponies of Dream Valley care a great deal about each other!
-Stallions are NOT oppressed! They nearly all to a pony CHOOSE to go into the military OF THIER OWN FREE WILL- You know, like the Equestrian royal guards were all stallions. Those who don't want to be soldiers, can take other jobs- Barnacle and Salty are sailors, Score and lugger are sports stars, Chief's a fire fighter, and so on. Most stallions are free spirits, and by thier nature prefer to spend most of thier time away from the rest of us. As to Barnacle, yeah he and his crew are violent, and Barnacle can be a jerk. But that's just one group of pirates and thier pig of a captian. (I swear, what does North Star see in him?)
-Truly had... issues. She wasn't a bad pony, but she hada troubled childhood where she grew up- Mustangia is NOT ponyland! And I still believe she and the others survived the destruction of Paradise estate- our resident pony lich, Magic Star, nowithstanding (ugh!). Moondancer is entitled to her opinion as to what's moral and what's not , and those of us who took part in the move to paradise estate were trying to send a message to majesty that she should pay more attention tothe problems of her subjects, and we got the message across.
In short, please please PLEASE stop thinking Tornado's potrayal of us is the whole story. We are not crazy, we are not violent, we are not predjudiced. Tornado really is just a sour grapes staillion, and I promise to show you a much friendlier and more colorful side of Ponyland than he ever did!
Hope to make friends with all of you,
Paradise Oaisis

Finally! I was afraid that I was being too idealistic in my whole life. Good thing that I can be an idealist whenever I want.

Go to Tartatus, scum. YOU CANNOT FEED ME THESE LIES THAT YOUR PONY GOVERNMENT HAS TOLD YOU. You sick, demented, psychopath. Tornado, who is the only pony I respect, was telling what any sane pony would think of you... Er.. Whatever you are. Now, unless you are an envoy of sorts, I will not hesitate to deploy our army.
Good day

With all due respect to Her Highness only talking about the positive parts of your history and culture will not exactly help us feel better. In fact it may do the opposite and make us wonder what you are hiding.To truly understand we must both the good and the bad of a society, the records of our history are out in the open along with a standing invite to see the originals in the Haven and Canterlot Archives, Sir Firehooves may have concentrated on the darker aspects of your history but those aspects help define who we all are.
Their Equestriani Majesties' Government recognizes that not everypony hates the Alicorns, that you still value friendship, and that stallions are not oppressed (at least not to a great extent), we all recognize that those feelings are vary from pony to pony and from nation to nation. Just like they do in the Concordiat.

While I appreciate you wanting to set the record straight, there is still the rather glaring detail madam that Cheerilee admitted that while the society she found herself in couldn't even comprehend the hatred of the three tribes, she wishes that they extended that love and tolerance to matters of faith.
Firehooves does come off as how my mother described her history teacher. He only cares about wars and political campaigns. It works for his more extensive archives which can explore the full history of events, but his entries in this journal give a very incomplete and prejudicial picture of things.
So I'm not bothered by this journal concentrating on the more lighthearted subjects as long as the more extensive archives continue to cover the darker side of Ponyland history with the context it needs.
Well with a majority of bad things happening to Ponyville and Equestria's overall history, it would be a nice change of pace to see some of the POSTIVES THINGS COMING OUT OF THE DARK TIMES.

She was going mostly off of what tornado told her, and also... culture shock?
