I'm Still Here, Just a Little Unorganized.

    Okay, maybe I'm extremely unorganized.

    Wood You Kindly

I feel like every night I go to bed the trees find a way to multiply and create more wood. The area seems cleaner than before, but man, still two and a half trees to go. We are no where near done cleaning up that mess yet and there is enough wood in my backyard to create a privacy fence just from stacking it, seriously, the pile of wood is huge. Tomorrow after I get home from school Ill take a

    Timber Day 2

    http://gyazo.com/e3c107efdf8eb455c41bcbb382a61322

Welp, there's an image. This is after clearing out about two giant piles of vines, filling up the pickup truck again, and cutting up a huge branch that fell out of another tree. It doesn't look like much, but its a lot more work than I thought. The chainsaw is helping speed things along quiet a bit though.

    Timber!

The new chapter is coming along great, I have the whole thing planned out and written on paper, now I just have to transfer it to my google drive and copy/paste it here. I probably wood (hah, lumberjack puns) have had the chapter done on my drive by tonight already but as the title of the blog suggests. Two massive trees behind my house fell over in a storm last night. I've been cutting up wood

    Love the way you move

Something about that song by Slightly Left of Centre brought back my drive to write. I'm writing up story prompts here and there, wishing that I could whip out my laptop at school and finish writing the story I've been slowly writing over the past two years.

Things That Happen To People · 9:54pm Apr 2nd, 2014

Wake up, go to school, come home, eat, run errands, sleep.

Welcome fillies and gentlecolts to my life the past couple of days. I really wanted to get more of my story typed up but I've been on the verge of getting a cold from my friend the past couple days. Every time I get more than five minutes to myself and open a word document I begin falling asleep and end up going to bed. I think it's beginning to recede and one more night of decent rest should be enough to get me back in tip top shape (I hope). Depending on what gets thrown at me today depends on whether I will be able to start typing more of the story or not, I'm hoping nothing will be required of me today but hey, that's life.

On the bright side I broke the school's Lexile scale again. Every time they give us a larger scale my score jumps to the top again (currently at 1630, yay!). What are your scores everypony?

And here's a picture of Twilight because why not?

We don't have a lexile score in our school grading but a test I took said that I have an IQ of 130.:applejackunsure:

Isn't 130 really good? I don't know how IQ rankings go but 130 sounds above average to me.

1978057 Good enough for me but it's mostly for problem solving instead of memorization. It's easy for me to solve stuff so as long as I figure out the formula but memorizing something word for word is hard if there is no rhythm accompanying it. Too bad most tests involves memory instead of figuring out the answers.:twilightsheepish:

1978369 I honestly laugh at the way schools expect us to learn. I refuse to study because if I can't remember it for the test I wont remember it later in life. And what's the point in memorizing things you don't care about and wont remember anyway. For example, there's this one girl in my class thinks she's soooooo smart because she has AP classes and decent grades. I gave her a couple random puzzles and riddles that were floating around in my head at the time, all of which were incredibly simple, and she got 1 out of 5 right WITH me and my best friend helping leading to the answer. Be proud in your ability to solve puzzles, it's much more useful than memorization ever will be. Not only that but people who only know how to memorize things generally turn into a mindless robot that will crash and burn when not directed every step of the way. Wow, didn't expect that to turn into a rant but oh well, it happens. By the way, I'm currently working on the new story. :pinkiehappy:

1979608 I honestly have no use for some of what the school teaches me but there are stuff that's needed and at least some of it is interesting. Some are practical but I don't think there will be a time where crochet or the art of making a wooden lamp with premade parts would be vital.:twilightsheepish:

I love puzzles(not crosswords though) and there are old riddles out there that are neat. (some of them do not make a lick of sense even if the answer's given, it's probably a joke but it's not funny to me.):pinkiehappy:

New story huh? I'll wait for it.

1980027 Some days I wonder if math teachers sit there and think. "It's such a shame Timmy never memorized the unit circle. He might need it when he's tying his shoes, or walking down the street trying to calculate an angle of correction to his path of travel. what if he doesn't know that Pi/2 is 90 degrees off the top of his head, he's obviously incapable of taking care of himself. Let's fail him and make him take my class again." :rainbowlaugh: Not literally of course but seriously, we could have stopped at sin, cos, and tan. Other than that and the Pythagorean theorem I find trig and much more of Algebra 2 quite useless to the average person.

I have about 3/4 of the first chapter written out, after that I'm going to type it, improve it, proofread it and it will be done :pinkiehappy:

1980044 I like math but I have no use for trigonometry, good thing I didn't need to take up calculus cause I don't like to rely on calculators too much.:twilightsheepish:

3/4? Woohoo!:yay:

1980067 You're the first person I've met, other than myself, who would rather think about what they are doing instead of letting a calculator do it for me. The world has become so dependent on technology and I don't like it. I would rather do it myself if I can. It keeps the brain from rotting.

1980100 Technology is good but we must never forget the assets we have.

1980130 True, very true. Some people just depend to much on technology way to much. Some of it is basically forced upon us, like smartphones and all the adaptive technology in cars. It's nearly impossible to get a regular phone or a car without all the technology that basically drives for you. I'm not a huge fan of it no matter how cool it is.

1980175 I like gadgets but relying on them is a pain. The phone I have is a rugged phone without autocorrect which is good and without that darn touch screen that activates with just a few bumps in the pocket. Touchscreen is a fun idea but it's such a pain to have it.:ajbemused:
I'd do things hands on when I can, I like to tinker more than to follow what a gadget says. I like technology but I don't want to need it, it takes the fun out of it.:ajsmug:

1980224 That's the exact reason I liked my flip phone so much. I wish it wouldn't have broken. But I couldn't afford the one that was basically indestructible so I got stuck with a sliding phone with a touch screen. It's decent and I enjoy having the notepad on it but I'm not a fan of the touchscreen. The worst thing about it is when I need to conserve power I turn it off and it always turns itself on in the middle of class. EVERY. TIME!

Me: :facehoof:
My phone: :trollestia::moustache:

My flip phone never randomly turned itself on and needed to be charged about half as much. Technology may be advancing but with advance comes problems, so many problems. That's why I try and stay simple though. :pinkiehappy:

1980259 Simple is always classy. Mine lasts a day on full charge only on the times I use it a lot for calls and music. Lasts about 3 days when it's only active. It doesn't have word programs other than for messaging but those things are what my laptop is for. I'll use my phone for as long as I can. (Already 4 years and it's still running.):pinkiehappy:

Rugged phones for the win!:yay:

1980332 Now that's what I'm talking about. To me a phone makes calls and sends text messages. I'm going to keep the one I have as long as possible though since I don't want to lose my music on the go :pinkiehappy: Music makes me way more productive.

1980349 That it does, I have a mix preference on genres so if my playlists is on shuffle then I doubt others can keep up. I have some country, some metal, pop, jazz, folk and some parodies and a whole lot more. I either like the beat, the calm, the message or the story. It's odd how "Ode to Joy" is followed up with "I like small butts" By Weird Al but it's funny when that happens.:rainbowlaugh:

1980378 My music can range from classic rock. To something with technological roots. Randomly a country song. And then Baby got back comes on after that. The list goes on and on and on. :pinkiehappy:

1981566 Looks like a good list to me.:pinkiehappy:
