Waiting On ESO and Other Stories · 4:55pm Mar 30th, 2014
Well, as of right now, I've been waiting on my digital download of Elder Scrolls Online for about twenty hours. Granted, my internet connection isn't the fastest there is (blame the rural nature of the phone-lines) I still manage 300k/b per second; and when you are attempting to download a 22 Gig game... it makes for a long wait.
I'm not huge on MMOs. I tried my hand at Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, but I very quickly grew frustrated with the forced dungeons, and party-making. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against dungeons, or parties for that matter, but when the dungeons are mandatory, and you team up with ultra-gamers that have not one ounce of patience, it makes for a irritating and annoying experience. I now have a fifty dollar game sitting on my shelf that I can't sell-back, or give away (thank you SquareSoft for making a game that installs all content on my system, and renders the disc a waste of plastic and locked to my console).
So, here I am, hoping that my experience with ESO will be far better at least in regards to the above issues with FF14:ARR.
I need to shoot another video for my YT channel, but with nearly all the bandwidth being allocated to the DL, it's gonna have to wait until later tonight. Which means that the upload will be finished sometime in the morning.
On a side note: I finally started watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Season 4 the other day. Call me crazy, but I had crammed so much "pony" content down my gullet early last year that I felt as though I needed a huge hiatus; and now that I have it, it's time to resume "teh ponies."
Anyway, just a brief line to let everyone know that I am still alive and kicking.
