Book frenzy! · 10:51pm Mar 27th, 2014
Well, maybe not a frenzy. Yet. My not-quite-inner-city neighborhood now has a Little Free Library, a wooden box on a pole, just under half full of books. (Which isn't bad, considering it's been there only about 36 hours.) I figure, if it spurs any of the residents to start reading, it was worth the small investment by the neighborhood association. And I also figure that Twilight Sparkle might actually think this was a swell idea, which more than justifies my walk up the block to drop off a couple of selections off my shelves.
This sounds like a noble cause.

I hope we can maintain some variety in the selections. Yesterday we had both Clive Cussler and Lemony Snicket represented. (Among the items I dropped off was an anthology by a local SF writer I've known for a few zillion years: never hurts to promote your friends.)
