No idea where to go, but need some help finding a story.

I really want to re-read a story I read on here a while back. But I forgot to add it to my favorites list. It's basically a songfic, where Celestia shows Twilight a past battle where a human sings some war song, and ends with Celestia giving Twilight a mission to ensure the new human doesn't sing.

    Fallout:Brony Chronicles

I revoked my submission this story. Honestly I'm not all that pleased with how it currently is. So I'm going to rewrite it the resubmit it. Though I'm unsure how Lon that'll take and when I'll get back to it. Right now I'm at a loss on what to write. That said I'm currently entertaining ideas on what to write next.

    Expectations, please don't have them.

Hopefully the two of you following me don't have high expectations. I mostly use my FimFiction account as a way to track the stories I read and enjoy. Honestly this is my first story period that wasn't a homework assignment. Which should tell you something since I haven't been in high school forever, and majored in Computer Science.

I need help, or someone write this for me!

I'm thinking about writing a fanfiction. Unfortunately I'm more used to writing poems, essays, round robins, and game design. In other words I have no clue how to even begin, that plus I'm unsure where to place this makes starting somewhat difficult. Anyways find the details below.

Why are ponies protrayed as weak?

Sure ponies seem to be non-combative and relatively peaceful. But that doesn't mean that are push overs! I mean come on even Rarity freaking kicked a manticore in the face! I bet you couldn't do that. In any case too often I see the main six needing to be saved by humans against an alien threat or even threats native to the world. I don't think they'd fair to badly against invaders. Even if

I'm thinking about writing a fanfiction. Unfortunately I'm more used to writing poems, essays, round robins, and game design. In other words I have no clue how to even begin, that plus I'm unsure where to place this makes starting somewhat difficult. Anyways find the details below.

Fallout: The Brony Chronicles

Basic premise:

Pony fandom convention meets new age spiritualism trapped in a vault for 200 years, stir & mix. I justify this by saying fandoms are weird. Some people are crazy devoted to their fandoms, to the point some would consider it a religious devotion. Also with pastafarians an actual thing I can totally see someone going "Pony religion LOL!" (Actually I've thought about it myself I even have an outline for it.). Take that and add trapped in a vault for years, and with nothing to oppose it a single fandom could easily overtake a vault. Think about it with little or no new entertainment what you got would become popular. In fallout on the goat there's even a question about a comic book and obtaining it. The choices are: steal it, kill for it, trade your most valuable possession for it.

Also with the habit of parents sparing their children the harsh truths of the world by either lies, misinformation, or "when you're older". It'd be easy for one parent to answer of "What is radiation?" with "It's like magic, it does strange things to you if you are in it long and can even hurt you. But without we'd die because the reactor runs on it and gives light and water." For kids to think Rad = Magic. From there just a bit of willful ignorance or childlike exuberance for such misinformation to become The information.

Don't forget that the vaults are largely human experiments to develop a better society. They have vaults with FEV, vaults with faulty shielding to see what happens, and so on and so forth. But scientific rigor calls for multiple iterations of the same experiment with new variables introduced. So here's my premise: bronies + religion + magic = this story. Magic is somewhat canon in fallout remember the book of Krivbeknih. Also I justify my use of giving bronies magic via FEV and radiation. After all giant ants exposed to FEV breath fire, humans exposed to radiation mutate and become ghouls. There are even ghouls that glow and pulse out radiation called glowing ones.

The setting would have to be central US, seeing as both west and east coast is taken. A random numbered vault somewhere in the great planes area. For the story the first half of it would focus on the vault. Vaults are essentially self sustained cities that are underground. I was thinking of having domesticated fire ants the size of dogs be part of the vault. After all meat is meat, plus it's nice to justify a game element I want to add. Also it allows me to play with FEV and Rads to justify "magic". From there the reason for the main character to leave the vault is easy. Bring the magic of friendship to the world. You are largely a door to door Mormon possibly with a gun. Also you might be trying to find out what happened to the other missionaries that have gone before you.

Game Elements:

Perks:
Rads are Magic! - You now no longer die from radiation exposure due to: constant low level absorption, with a weak stain of FEV, and a dash of spiritual beliefs. You can now cast "Magic"?! At 3 ghouls are now your friends and will aid in battle, NPCs are wary of your otherworldly glow -15 Barter & Speech, rad meds must be given at the start of some conversations otherwise they just won't talk without epic speech skills 65 or higher. Companions have a chance to gain the perk "Rads are Magic" if you have played out their conversion quest (25% chance).

Rad Siphon: Upon study of cannibals and the help of a vampire? You can now siphon rads from NPCs, gain rads.

Rad Pulse: Pulse out rads like a glowing one! Burst rad consumption.

Rad Light: Who needs a torch or even a flashlight? You are the sickly green light of the world!

Electric Rad: Having studied and fixed reactors you have learned to turn rads to electricity. Power energy weapons using rads! On melee chance for stunning enemies with shock (5%).
