General update · 10:11am Mar 4th, 2014
Only linking to Mage's Jump because you can only link to one story
To readers of The Mage's Jump
I've been making some small edits to older chapters, nothing that really changes the content, just fixing some bits here and there that I've looked back at and thought "What the hell was I thinking?", as well as adding the translations to the irish/elvish dialogue, which I'm not sure why I've never bothered to do until now
EX (taken from the end of chapter 14): “Go raibh maith agat as an oíche álainn, Luna, (Thank you for this beautiful night, Luna)”
I'm not completely sure of this yet, will see how readers react in the future.
Too readers of Twilight's Diary
Just to be quick, the rewrite is nearly complete, and I will likely be publishing the last rewritten chapter with the entry for the next chapter of Mage's Jump.
To general followers, and just anyone that might be interested
I've stated in a previous blogs that I'm working on a new story. While this is not a official blog I plan to post for it (not posting that till I get the next chapter I'm working on done), but I'm admittedly growing impatient and figured I might as well post some details now to see if anyone as anything to say (Despite the fact my blogs only get about 2-5 views overall)
The story is an take on both pony on Earth and anthro, it is not clop, nor is it even romance. the basic premise is:
back in the 1960s, a portal between Earth and Equestria opened, in the modern day both species are, for the most part, on friendly terms, with ponies moving to Earth, and a few handfuls of humans choosing to move to Equestria.
Anthros, in this universe, are the result of science and magic finding a way to allow humans and ponies to breed. The ability has been around for roughly 25 years at this point, though they're still pretty rare overall (latest census in the story states there are about 300 in total between Earth and Equestria)
The overall plot of the story is admittedly.... cliche. Basically the main character gets accepted into inter-species school and the story follows her trying to get by in her daily life while dealing with various problems.
I'll say right now the story is using a handful of sources for inspiration, including Pillow Case and Black Tail Life for the idea of a portal between worlds and the interspecies school respectively (though I ddin;t realise it at first, just had the idea and a few days later it occurred to me that the ideas were similar to them), and this group for the base idea of anthros being hybrid of humans and ponies, though as far as I know that's about it (I have no idea how they explain them, I only know of the group from a friend linking them in a blog post a while back, read the threads out of boredom, had the idea a few days later). However, the story has no real relation to any of these and is set in it's own universe.
Okay, I think I've got everything I want to cover covered... I should really get to sleep.
Post any and all questions below.
