Hello everyone once again!
You've probably already noticed I released a new fic. I'm not sure if you accept or condone foalcon, but that's what the fic is all about. Some of my most successful stories before Cadance In A Minor were foalcon clops. Just like them, this story has a lot of other stuff in it as well. Notice how it's over 40 thousand words on release.
Foalcon is a difficult genre. Even if done well, people just see it and immediately go in and downvote them without even reading. Sure, everyone has the right to like and dislike what they want, but getting four downvotes in under ten minutes of publishing makes it pretty clear that they didn't even read it. Meh. I hope you'll actually read through it before deciding.
So behind the scenes? What's that all about?
The story about this fic is that I got a birthday present fic from another writer on the site. (HI KrishnaKarnak!) I promised him I'd write him one for christmas. So I wrote him a story for christmas... except I felt I could do more with the fic and kept on going. Most of January I wrote daily for the fic, but finally ran out of steam. I had to admit I'd bitten a too large bite to chew. I let it stew for a while, formulating what would happen next, but then I just had to let it go for a while. After waiting for a few weeks for my inspiration to kick back in, I decided to just go with it and publish. CarcinoGeneticist helped me a lot during the process of writing this fic and edited it for me. I can't put into words how awesome I thought that was. Hopefully KK is happy with his christmas present, now that we're in March. It was good to take a little pause from Cadence in a Minor as well. Seeing how I could easily write several thousand words a day made me remember how fun writing actually is. Cadence In A Minor is my next priority and I hope to finish it soon, but right now, I hope you give this fic a try and tell me how you find it. Just don't give up when the start feels so dark, because there's a lot of light in the end.

i haven't read it yet, but i'm sure it'll be fine! never understood what was wrong with foalcon, so long as it was all consensual. oh well, can't please them all.
I'd be lying if I said I enjoyed foalcon. But I'll never critize (or down vote) someone on this site for it. There's a big difference between reality and fiction. As long as the line isn't crossed who am I judge.
I've always found it odd how fast some stories get downvotes. Like, there are people who stay logged in just to downvote stories.
Anyway, you already know I love this story. Can't wait for more CIAM.
1892411 Foalcon is essentially porn with children. It is usually elementary school children having sex. That crosses the line for many people. Personally, I try to avoid reading anything that focuses on clop because it is basicly reading horse porn, which I really don't want to read (nor any kind of porn really). I strongly disagree with down voting a story without reading it, though I can't really blame people for down voting child porn without reading it.
1892472 i can. i can understand not reading just because it has foalcon in it, but that doesn't mean they have the right to mess up the overall rating of a story just because it has to do with something they disagree with. that'd be like if i down-voted every story that wound up killing off one of my favorite ponies. and believe me, there are a lot of them.

1892513 And that's why I don't personally care about it. It's just imaginary. However, that doesn't change the fact that many people are strongly disgusted by the idea, and hate seeing it anywhere. There was a story about Rainbow Dash reading the Bible and making fun of the literal interpretation (written by a Christian). The story was funny, nothing particularly good, but not bad either. It had about 20 likes and over 50 dislikes just for the subject matter.That story is in the same boat as many stories with foalcon. It disturbs people that others are actually willing to write stuff like that. Imaginary or not, writing foalcon is still writing child porn, so people will get offended by that. I disagree about down voting a story without reading it, but I don't blame people for hating foalcon.
