Because I apparently like wasting my sleeping hours of a school night in front of a computer, I found something I posted over a year ago in a Reddit MLP thread. The topic was, "What would you like to see happen on the show?"
My answer:
I want to see how the princesses saved Equestria from Discord. Also how they discovered the Elements. And how they overthrew King Sombra. More Princess vs. Ancient Tyrant action! (Disney, eat your heart out.)
The show is now two for three of my predictions from a year ago. So, do I feel special because I called it or nod in acceptance because these are things they were bound to reveal at some point?
I don't actually care, I just think it was cool that I called it. I also called the whole 'important historical moments getting memorialized in stained glass' thing before they did it in season 2. Seriously, the very night before 'Return of Harmony, Part 1' aired, I wrote this scene about the gang exploring part of the castle and seeing themselves in a stained glass window. And then there was the season 4 opener where a bunch of my ideas for a fic were swiped for the plot. Ideas like the Everfree Forest going crazy and taking over Ponyville, pony magics going haywire, the Summer Sun Celebration as an important plot point - I was going to factor all of those into my fic and now I can't, because people will just think I'm copying the episode. I don't know how they keep doing it. They must be reading my mind or something. That being said, I'm still waiting on a body-swap episode.
McCarthy? Polski? Larson? Are you guys listening? This needs to happen.
To be fair, we didn't really see much of the confrontation with Discord. We just saw the moment that he was stoned. We don't know much about the Tree either, but I'm hoping the box will shed some light on it.
