A few progress updates and a book recommendation

I've been a bit distracted and busy the last few weekends, but have made progress on the next Chapter of the Moon story. It's sitting at 5,000 words, with a good deal left to go though. Hopefully I can really dig into it this weekend and have it ready for the week after. It's been a weird few weeks for me. A family emergency demanded a 4,500 mile road trip, which actually ended up becoming a fairly fun family vacation. Luckily I have a very forgiving boss, and plenty of comp time saved up. So, I saw a few parts of the country I've never seen before, including the Grand Canyon, Mt. My Next Story · 5:44am Feb 27th, 2014

Finally! I've got a prologue and the first chapter of a new story mostly completed. After staying on such a rigid schedule for my first story, I allowed myself to slowly work on this one at my leisure, which of course, has obviously failed, as it's taken 3 months to get to the point it's at. On the bright side, I have a much more completed outline than before, with what I hope are better characters. I won't say much as not to spoil everything, as even the title is a bit of a spoiler to certain folk. It's definitely an adventure tagged story with both familiar and original characters, not (for the most part) set in Equestria proper.

I have a few things to rewrite, and some proofreading to do, but it should be ready to go by next week. I even used my abysmally awful art skills to make my own cover piece!

Update: 3/12 - I suck. Just another day or two to proofread and I'll post. It should be Friday at the latest.
