Operation Live Stream and 1,000 Views · 5:43pm Feb 26th, 2014
So the live stream suggestion turns out to be a hugely popular idea, so we are a go for one very soon! As for the date in specific, that is still TBD. I know all of you here are currently here for the Skyfall saga, and with Overture finished and in the editing process, there isn't much I could show you with that, so I'll probably stream the start of the next installment when I get a couple more chapters of Overture out. I'll make an announcement about a week in advance so arrangements can be made and I can give out the link to my newly acquired channel if you want to show up to it. Sound like fun?
And now for some fan and random news!
So sometime last week between Thursday night and Friday morning, my first story, The Griffon War, earned its 1,000th view. Damn, it felt good to scratch that one off the bucket list. I mean, considering view count can't go anywhere but up, I consider it a huge victory I somehow conned entertained enough people to garner 1,000 views. That astounds me. From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every one of you for helping me get to where I am today.
Hell, when I began, I wrote The Griffon War for the sake of writing as a one-off sort of thing. I was convinced I would have no interest in pony fan fiction, and with a lack of prominent military-based fan fiction in the fandom, I figured why the hell not? It was a pet project brought on by my love for these technicolor ponies, a military fascination, and a two-hour long snorefest known as Art History 201. It somehow evolved into this massive world of warring nations, espionage and betrayal, corruption, and love. As of writing this, the Skyfall saga has fifty established original characters with roughly a dozen more unreleased yet, a plethora of canon characters to boot, and approximately twenty KIAs and counting. Sweet Celestia and Luna, what have I unleashed on the world?
In other fan-based news, a long-time viewer and close friend, USMCbrony0311, has written a little side story to my Skyfall canon titled Where Are The Monsters. It takes place in the future and stars a couple of our beloved protagonists in a situation many of you probably called in a betting pool. Caution: Story may contain traces of FleetNight shipping. Do not read if you are diabetic or suffer from excess amounts of d'awws. Is this a glimpse into the future, or just a madman's dream of what could be? Decide for yourselves, but definitely go on over and give it a read!
With friendship and magic (and I can't think of anything to put in the third spot, so I'll just chant TWILIGHT TIME! TWILIGHT TIME!),

Congrats on a thousand views DQ you definitely earned them.
Congratulations, and good luck with the live stream!
Well, I know I've been running with this team for a rather short time, but I can only hope the next thousand is better than the last!
You definitely earned this. Perhaps the next thousand will come much faster.
Blasphemy if it doesn't.
Just gimme a date for the stream!
Silver out!
Huza! You have come far and I've been a proud follower for...for...
...how long have I been here for?
...well I've been happy to be here and I'll continue to stand by ya!
I remember when you were plunking away at The Griffin War and I was left wondering just what was going to happen once Fleet hit the beaches at Skyfall. It was just me and Silver back then...now you've gained followers and views. And you've earned every single one of them.
I love your work, and I love seeing where you send your characters next. And lets be honest...without you I'd likely still be languishing and wishing that I'd write something-with a story or 2 started and then abandoned. A House Divided was written because of you and I keep coming back to it because of you. It might take me forever to get it out/finished, but I will finish it. And I only hope I can enchant you with my characters as you've with me.
...er...and sorry...as you can see I still ramble on. That hasn't changed.
Anyways, I'm glad you've hit the 1K mark. It's been a wild ride!
