You're already off to a great start and I hope you continue till the end. One thing though, I think you, like RealityCheck's "Rise of Darth Vulcan", should include scenes from the ponies perspective(probably in third person too). This way you can explain the ponies actions( particularly Rainbow Dash's). Maybe say that Bjorn had a rather menacing aura/presence about him. With Harry's black leather duster, magical strength, and general grumpy/brooding disposition, the ponies might be instinctively on edge around Bjorn. This would explain why things got out of control so fast, on the ponies side anyways.

I'm actually experimenting with that right now. I want to stay true to the Dresden files thing were Harry is the only POW in the main series... but I'm thinking intermission chapters at the moment.
Not certain if they'll be in third or first person at the moment, but I'm working on it along with the next chapter.

Next chapter after the one I'm more or less about to post willl be a intermisson and have a bit about Twilight's wounds and how others are reacting to them.
I'll say this much, however. I'm not aiming for the fic to be quite that dark, but Twilight's going to be out of the fight for quite a bit and without modern Equestrian medical care she would have been that crippled for several years if not decades. If it wasn't for her ascension she'd have stayed dead to be blunt.
