Well in the case of my fanfic "Some Secrets are better left untold" I've been doing strait sex over and over and over with possibly a variant or two to keep it feeling "fresh".My last chapter sucked greatly mostly due to my writers block dragging it down. But another reason was the fact that you can only write strait sex so many ways so it's time to change things up I think!

I don't know! I' m just trying to cram my head for ideas on how to make the upcoming clop scene seem fresh and outside of doing "Gay spike likes taking anal strap-ons from Rarity"... Why does every dark secret have to be about sex? There are other horrible things that the ponies could be engaged in. Like drug smuggling, or weapons trafficking. Maybe some sort of espionage or subterfuge.

That's actually perfect. You make the clop a sort of secondary to a bigger secret.
